I think Gansons penalty for holding down on the very first tackle may of put us of our game a bit, i wonder if he did this on purpose, in all honesty i didn't think we would win the night, but who knows what might have happened, am glad we went out in the semi's rather than getting tonk by stains in a final again. Hopefully we will now find out all the juicy gossip from the club ie signings.

Changed my mind now that the game is over (since I swear as much as anyone during the games!), but normal service again now please in terms of swearing - ie. please don't :)

Thank you.

we lost to a better team tonight . leeds where error free for the first half. ok ganson wasn't good but i've saw a lot worse. we just ran out of steam and fit players. feka couldn't even run and having to ply dv on the wing took away our pace . we didn't offer anything in attack it was just roll your sleeves up and be proud. now we can get on with recruitment and get a bit of depth in our squad for gf 2008. com,on ye pies

Had a feeling that this would be a game too far. With half of our team carrying injuries and the intensity of the last few weeks, we needed to be in front at half time to have any chance.

Leeds were the better side tonight - however even Peacock admitted that is was partly because Wigan ran out of petrol toward the end.

I think that we really missed Calderwood tonight - DV has been greatly improved in the last few matches; however he hasn't got any faster and without Calderwood we really lacked a threat down the left - his kick chases in particular would have been very useful.

The pack looked like it was held together with cellotape and feka should probably not have played. I would have preferred o'Carroll to Hill as well as I thought that he added nothing.

Ganson was as poor as ever - however that should be a surprise to no-one. I was particularly disappointed with the way he handled lautiti's antics when he scored. The second Webb try was laughable - however it didn't make any difference on the outcome of the game. I think that Leeds had a 100% completion rate in the 1st half and that combined with poor calls from fat boy (particularly the offences he allowed at marker) and a lack of the lucky bounce cost us.

Hock played quite well - but was lucky to stay on the field for the silly tackle on diskin.

That said; I would rather have lost tonight than have got turned over at Old Trafford by stains.

I don't think there was any player wearing a cherry and white shirt tonight that was not carrying at least some sort an injury.

I thought I seen Fielden wincing and Colbon limping on sky.

That was probably true for every player on the field. Bumps and bruises are part of rugby. I meant injuries that severely limited the impact they had on the game - ala Feka

 So annoyed. I paid for stand tickets. A stand that was full of wooden uncomfortable chairs. A stand that had two stantions blocking our view to the Carnegie Stand End. We started watching the big screen in the end. My nephew then asked for some doughnuts at the end. £2.50 for 5 bog standard doughnuts. :o

The Leeds Club Programme is nice

The game. Too far Too difficult to handle. Leeds played very well. Particularly in defence. I still think Saints will beat them though.

Like Matthew said a game too far bu we played well in parts - it doesnt matter now of course... from what we've come from in 2oo6 to where we have ended up in 2oo7 we can only build from this - have a good off-season, few good recruits and like I said last year - wait for 2008!

We were beaten by the better team on the night, no doubt about it. Haven't seen the video yet, but I didn't think Ganson was as bad as he usually is. Their forwards totally dominated all game, Peacock in particular I thought was superb.

That game more than any other has highlighted how much we've missed a third prop, although Hock & Hansen both had good games our pack was always overpowered.
We lacked power up front, and we lacked pace out wide, I think Noble got the tactics right, in theory - keeping it simple and waiting for their mistakes; the only problem was, they didn't make any!

As I've seen quoted on one of the reports, they had something like a 95% completion rate; that will beat any side, Saints included.

Having said all that, I thought the final scoreline flattered them.

Anyway - it's been fun while it lasted - I think the side has outdone most people's expectations this season. I certainly wouldn't have predicted third in the playoffs and a CC semi spot, at the start of the season.
