For all round general play Roby isnt a patch because

Roby cant kick, Cant score as many trys, Has no leadership skills, Has no organisation abilities, Cant pass, No 40/20s, No drop goals, No crash tackles, Cant change a game with one superb pass, Cant take an average team to 3rd in Super League. I rest my case.

The biggest "stitch" up since James Lowes beat Andy Farrell to the title in 1997 (if I remember the year correctly).

The only thing he has in his locker is that hes English and can break a tackle and that is your lot.

He likes to come on when the opposition defense is tiring.

He likes to run at the overly tired prop forward making him look like superman.

Found wanting against Wigan at the JJB Last league match of the season.

Hes decent for half a bloody game!
Although one could argue that Faz only played half a season when he won his second MoS so didn't play enough to justify the award....

However, Roby is not exactly what most of us would think of as Man of Steel. Excellent player, yes, but there are lots of those and he's hardly a player who has single-handedly turned things around and won them for Saints. Even Daniel Anderson would be hard-pressed to say that Roby is more influential and important to their team than, say, Nick Fozzard who I dislike massively but is a huge asset to their team.

This award has left me totally bemused - have things changed so that the award is now voted by fans using a BBC phone-in "here's a winner we chose earlier" system?

the Referee Of The Year is Steve Ganson.

The nominations were Silverwood and Klein.

Who gets the GF though?? :conf: :conf:
It wouldn't be the first time the Ref of the Year didn't get the Grand Final. As for Ganson, I hate to say I told you so... but... I believe I did make that prediction sometime on Monday!
