Impossible Turf I know for a fact it takes a lot to sack some one verbal written and final warning all that going on a internet site is not an offense to be sacked on the spot. If this has happend he can sue.

He went on the Internet during working time and he has been caught red handed and he has been sacked - it's as simple as!!

if he was sacked outright with no previouse warnings im pertty sure he will be able to sue them. if he had punched the boss or something silly then its gross misconduct and he cant do anything about it. but looking on e bay cant be classed as gross misconduct.as i said there is a chance he may get his job back if he wants it!.
