I dont even rate him as a player anymore. He makes error after error, missed tackles by swining too high at them and gives FAR to many penalties away. We need a decent (BIG)(TOUGH)loose forward like Andy Farrell again.
Nice one :eusa2:

Sean has already set a great example to the rest of his team by missing the most tackles in super league.
He doesnt interact with the players,or tell them to cut the penaltys out when were on a warning.
He is often arsing around at the POTB and making high tackles. I never see him linking up in attack. When LULu n barret was in at hooker, he should have been linking up with everybody.

When andy farrel was captain i could here him shouting at the players and sorting things out from the back of the south stand, when wigan was at the north end.

i think that lockers isnt all that bad a player and does a lot of work in defense but i have to agree with most of the posts he isnt a captain.

To be a leader you need to set an example to the people around you and lead from the front, you only need to look back a the days when farrel was club captain, it wasnt just the talking to the players to get them motivated and in to position, farrel had a knack of taking the ball up at the right time and making a barnstorming run that realy showed the rest of the forwards the way down the pitch.

Unfortunatley lockers still hasn't proved that he is capable of any of the above, lets face it he was fas-tracked to the captain position by Mo Lindsey as an incentive to prevent him from leaving the club. I don't want to continually keep bashing the bloke but at the minute i just cant see any merits not too.

the other problem is that who do you give the captains position to??

Has Barrett earned the right to the position and if not barrett then who??

I don't think Barrett has earned he right to be Captain.
don't get me wrong, he is a God like genius and he will be far better as and when the pitches dry out, but not a captain of Wigan IMO.
I think too many people are comparing Lockers with Farrell.
Farrell has gone, accept it. Move on.
Do we want a captain like slime ball Briers was last year? Constanly winging at the ref and pulling mardy faces when things dont go his way? I don't think so.
After Lockers was spoken too by Ganson on Saturday, our penalty count reduced, if it hadn't we would have had someone sin-binned earlier.
Just because we, as fans, can't hear Lockers shouting at the players, it doesn't necessarily mean he isn't getting the message across.
If the team respect a captain, he won't have to shout and bawl at them to get a reaction.
Personally I think that if an opposing team can hear the captain screaming at his players, it will give them more incentive and confidence, as well as perhaps give away ideas and tactics.
As for a replacement captain, there is no one else at the club that I can think of even if it was necessary.]

If I am taking the piss it has nothing to do with whatever disability you may have since you have only just made me aware of it. You may have simply thrown that in to garner support or sympathy but I couldn't care less. My point is that you constantly slag off Lockers and want to make Hock skipper but you only see the matches on TV so IMO aren't someone whose opinion counts for too much - understand?
