our props? o'carroll is being paid buttons but at least he shows spirit, hits the line with pace and makes yards, coley has been one of our best players this year (along with mcillorum, hock and richards), prescott was playing well until he got crocked. fielden, or for that matter anyone, can't carry a team by himself, nobody is expecting that mate, i just want him to do what he's paid to do: take us forward, not sideways, when he gets the ball. unfortunately no other club would take him off our hands, not even for free, as they have all found him out. we're stuck with him.

it's not his fault he got a big contract ,there are a few others who need to have a good look at themselves. barrett couldn't kick his own ass on friday and as for the missed tackles pleazzzzzze

When he signed he looked strong and physically impressive. This was a guy who would go to war with Barry Mac. Soon after he signed he started to deteriorate and has got worse and worse. We believe he is on big big money so yes he is robbing us blind. Can you imagine Platty or Skerrett being bashed about like a child? If he still has personal issues he should retire.

an excellent point cp yes his family issues can be responsible for his sudden dip in form but if he cannot regain that form and the issues are still taking affect then he should rethink his career plan and possibly reitre to give the youngsters a chance of proving themselves

I must be living on a different planet to a lot of people on here. We all know the reason for Fielden's dip in form. However, he also played a good part of last season with quite a bad shoulder injury. The thing is it wasn't publised for a couple of reasons. Not to let the oppostion know and also he doesn't go on and on about injuries. Over the closed season he had major surgery on the shoulder. It does take a little time to come back from something like that. Give him a chance. Others are right. He can't play a game on his own and he does have to have the backup of the rest of the team. The whole team seemed to lack passion on Friday not just Fielden. Leave the lad alone and get on with what you all do best SUPPORTING the team
