Saying this a lot of the schools in Wigan finish on that day and a lot of families will have booked to go away.
Another factor in the equation there is a squeze on at the moment ie Fuel prices gone up gas, electricity, petrol.Morgage repayments gone up for some. Rugby comes down the pecking order when belts are being tightened financially especially if its on SKY.
I don't think we'll fill the place; maybe 21-22k?
I honestly think we'll be lucky to see that many!

can I just point out that there are some of us who don't (and won't) have Sky.
And even though I'm in the posh seats & can't claim for pimms on expenses...and bust a gut to get there even when it means leaving the office 30 minutes early for the f***k**n stupid 7:30 starts....there are people who will be there come hell or high water.

There's a lot of negativity in these discussions...From whining about referees, to sledging O'Loughlin...and yes I'm guilty of both.

Isn't it time a section was started that only allowed positive and hopefull posts?
Keep the rest of the groups to make sure we can vent our spleens, but how about shouting the fact that we have the best supporters in the game.

That, although we've gone through a 10 year shallow patch, we're still "the team to beat". That the Oz press talk about us with awe. That star players want to be a part of the team. That we have players who are loyal and passionate. That we still get up the noses of the white roses who can't send even half a stand to a Challenge cup final.

THAT WE ARE F*CK*N BEST AND MOST HONOURABLE AND MOST PASSIONATE TEAM THAT EVER KICKED AN EGG SHAPED BALL!

Agreed - our town is lagging behind the City of Leeds at home matches but our away support is second to none. Wiganers are mad about rugby. It doesnt matter who we play, what form we're in or when we play, we turn up in our thousands. It seems rugby i part of our lives in this corner of Lancashire

Yorkshire has most of the SL clubs and less to travel for the away support its no wonder Leeds have better home gates after all its a City and more clubs around than we have .We have only Saints and Warrington ,Leeds have Bradford,Castleford,Wakefield,Huddersfield and a bit further away but both well supported the Hull teams.
Wigan,Saints and Warrington have a good away following.
