Me to be honest. Im kind of 50/50 about putting Desi on, in the final. He will be under to much pressure.

They should just put him in games that he wont, be under to much pressure. Then work his way up to the big games. :D

Denis Betts said they have no qualms about playing Desi against Widnes, but IMO as thier is a chance of Carney,Hodgson and Aspinwall returning against Widnes i doubt that he will as even if they don't all return i'm sure at least one of them will.

I can't see Carney returning in time for the final. He's said himself he doesn't share Betts' optimism, and he's only been out for 12 weeks, which isn't long for a double-break to the ankle. All his weight will be on that ankle when he's running and being tackled, if he did make it I can see everyone cringing every time he got hit.

As for Hodgy, well in his monotonous tones before the London game he sounded like he might be back, in full training I think he said, so hopefully he can get a game in against Widnes as warm up. I think if Aspinwall isn't fit this week but is next then we throw him in, he's only been out for three weeks so he shouldn't be as rusty as Brian or David, and if Brian is still injured I'd want Safe-Martin on the right wing.

As opposed to "dodgy hodgy" ?!
Am only messing I like hodgson, wasn't too keen last year 'cause I thought he made a lot of mistakes and looked very lightweight however towards(ish) the end of last year he seemed to have learned to keep hold of the ball.

I trust aspinwall when there's a bit of pressure on him. He seems to take balls high and low quite well and hes a fast likkle one too.

I agree with warriors! We cant not put him on in the final saints attack is far to strong for his and o,loughlins defence! I have alot of faith in Aspinwall and fingers crossed he will be back by then!
