I dont think you can blame SKY they have payed for the right to broadcast RL,they have scheduled it for Fri night what do they show instead of the game re-runs of Dads Army. For me their are two people to blame for this farce,1 is IL for not planning for this situation arising and the other is Mr im a W$@*er whelan for being an ar@hole and not letting us play at our own ground.

There is now way you can blame Sky. They have their schedules and need the viewing figures. They have paid big bucks up front to televise the game, why should they back down. I take back my past criticism of Stevo, liked the rant on boots n all.

im sure i heard he was giving the stadium over 2 the council next year when the ten year rule takes affect meaning the company that built the stadium has to make any repairs to it in the first ten years then he has to take over so to give it to the council he wont have to make the repairs they will if that makes any sense like a warranty in effect

the blame lies with whelan ,this game could easily been played at home but he doesn't want 2 game s in 24 hours probably because it's been raining so much

I too watched the programme, and have to say it's the first time for a good while i've agreed with Stevo.
So Whelan is clearly the bad guy here, and he is also a bl99dy big hypocrite.
In the Mirror the other day he says he is one of Wigan Rugby biggest fans, Yeah rite, cos you always treat a team your fond of like he has ours.
If as pointed out Hull ground can accomadate both clubs playing on the same day, then we could have played fri and them footy lot Sat.
No he just does not want to pay out for staff to do it or have his precious turf ruined.
I used to feel it was good for the town to have two sports in the elite ranks bringing in revenue etc.
Now I hope the footy lot go to $h1te.
Whelan says he supports both teams but in one moment of shear arogance lost the respect of one section of the town.
We know that Wigan Warriors makes a huge contribution to the game of rugby league developing more youngsters than any other club It is a well known pub game to name all the ex Wigan rugby players playing in the league
Now I would like to ask this arogant man how many Wigan players are in his football team?
Who plays regular first team football that come through the ranks?
You will be lucky to name five english players never mind Wiganers. So point made there is little or anything of the town anymore in the football team.
This post just emphasises what a minority sport we are.

Re. the Cas email on Boots 'n All. I wonder what this Cas fan feels about the suggestion that Wakefield should look at ground sharing with Castleford now that it appears the plans for a super dooper Wak Stadium has fell through?
As far as ground sharing is concerned, doesn't the Cas Fan know that Hull FC share their ground with their footy team?
Will the RFL look at the franchise awarded to Wakefield and revoke it and give it to Widnes?

Don't forget, nothing has actually been built YET. Castleford, Stains and Wakey gained franchises on the premise of new stadia. Not even mentioning Salford!!

or that Celtic's current ground also does not meet criteria. What's the saying "People in Glass Houses"......
