I'm not seeing a weak pack here other than Fielden not being worth what was paid for him and not as good as he was a couple of seasons ago. I personnaly would prefer to see younger talent given a break to let them mature with game time as O'Carroll has than have a 35 year old fill a gap for a year. I'm not a fan of a quick fix as this can have long term effects and would prefer to see longer term development process. Wiki is world class but probably not the answer. I still see greater urgency in other areas.

Mmm, Do you think so Pedro. I would agree that our forwards are not thick set but for height if we ever got a back 3 of Hock, Mossop, Tomkins they would be bigger than any other team. Weight, I am guessing they are not exactly lacking. Wilkin is small and Gilmour is no bigger than our backrowers.

I think we lack that thick set bull type especially at prop and hence our forwards are not suited to 1 v 13 taking it 1 pass from the POTB. Even our backs are not suited to those tactics which for me is why Noble annoys me by not coaching to the team he has. He needs to forget about the Bradford Pack and 6ft+ centres with Vaikona and Lesley on the wings.

We should be running players like Kylie Leaulaiu ragged until they are exhausted.

Coley has surprised me and at times looked the only forward bothered in some games but ultimately isn't good enough.

Feka has imporved massively in recent weeks but he is one man next we are relying on Prescott and O'Carroll. I like both players and Nobby was stupid to drop O'Carol on Friday but the other teams have three top class props before they get to young players like these which is not what we have.

What a stupid rumour that is! That is over half the salary cap for 27 games (Â£810K) before you even think of playoff and cup games, so no they aren't paying him that.

Defiantly an area were Wigan need improvement, just a shame Paul Prescott has been troubled by injuries since he came into the first team otherwise he would be a very good prop by now.

You have to feel a bit sorry for Darrell Goulding. He was rated as one of the best young players in the country and given his chance in the first team then Noble brought in Cameron Phelps to replace him, there is still Karl Pryce to return and talk of signing another centre, sounds like his a career at Wigan might be over before it even began.

Well you hope etc etc BUT unless somebody knows different it seems to me thatvery few SL players of the quality we need are available and we can only sign 1 overseas player.

Where are these quality players going to come from?

I think that the World Cup is likely to demonstrate that there are some very talented outside backs and big forwards in the likes of Tonga, Samoa and Fiji. this year of all years we ought to be able to snare a relatively unknown South Sea talent.
As for English players, Quins (IL's other club) have done very well in improving National League players into the real deal (look at Ricky Sheriife, who went from Halifax to Quins, and has been signed by Bradford - he was in the top 10 for clean braks made).
Then there are Wiganers - do we really not back ourselves to develop the likes of Ainscough and Goulding into first team players the equal of Gardner and Lee Smith? They are every bit as talented.
