Former St Helens favourite Jamie Lyon believes he will return to Knowsley Road - but not in the immediate future.
The 26-year-old enjoyed a successful two-season spell with the Saints back in 2005 and 2006, winning the prestigious Man of Steel award.
He is now plying his trade back in Australia, where he will line-up for Manly Sea Eagles in Sunday's National Rugby League Grand Final against defending champions Melbourne Storm.
While confirming Warrington showed some mid-season interest in getting him back to the Super League, the former Parramatta centre insists his immediate future is in Australia.
He does see himself playing in the Super League again, although it will not be for at least two years.
Definitely
He told the Sydney Daily Telegraph: "I'll definitely go back there (Britain) at some stage but probably to St Helens.
"I'm pretty sure. I've got another two years to run (at Manly) after this year. I won't be going anywhere soon."
Lyon's successor at St Helens, fellow Australian international Matt Gidley, will be out of contract at the end of 2009.
But the Knowsley Road outfit will have a centre vacancy after this Saturday's Super League Grand Final against Leeds, when Willie Talau plays his final match for the club.

Lyon - could return to Knowsley Road.
LYON REVEALS SAINTS PLAN
Former Man of Steel Jamie Lyon today admitted he is likely to return to St Helens - but not for at least two years.
The former Parramatta centre was a hugely popular figure at Knowsley Road in his two-season spell in 2005 and 2006 and won the prestigious Man of Steel award.
Lyon, 26, who plays for Manly Sea Eagles in Sunday's National Rugby League Grand Final against defending champions Melbourne Storm, has confirmed there was mid-season interest from Warrington but his favoured option is a return to Saints.
"I'll definitely go back there (Britain) at some stage but probably to St Helens," he told the Sydney Daily Telegraph.
"I'm pretty sure. I've got another two years to run (at Manly) after this year. I won't be going anywhere soon."
Lyon's successor at St Helens, fellow Australian international Matt Gidley, will be out of contract at the end of 2009 but Saints will have a centre vacancy after this evening's Super League Grand Final against Leeds when Willie Talau plays his final match for the club.

Lyon says England can wait
By Steve Mascord
October 04, 2008
MANLY superstar Jamie Lyon has spoken about mid-season attempts to lure him to England before revealing he will finish his career at former club St Helens.
Lyon is rated a potential match-breaker in Sunday's grand final against Melbourne but only a few months ago there were reports he would leave the Sea Eagles with two years left on his contract.
I was speaking to my manager, Warrington were having a tough time, they lost a couple of games and I think it was just a bit of a blow-up from the boss," he told The Daily Telegraph, in reference to Wolves benefactor Simon Moran.
"There was only that one statement from him. That was it," he said.
Lyon said England remained attractive - but it would be where he won the Man Of Steel in 2005.
"I'll definitely go back there at some stage but probably to St Helens," he said.
"I'm pretty sure. I've got another two years to run (at Manly) after this year.
"I won't be going anywhere soon."
The ultra-relaxed 26-year-old says the Sea Eagles' relaxed demeanour this week means nothing.
"We were a bit relaxed last year," he said.
"It doesn't matter how you go into it. It just comes down to the night and how you play and how you prepare and that sort of thing.
"You've got to enjoy yourself but you've got to do the hard work too."
He says of the 2007 decider against Melbourne: "Maybe we got away from the game plan a little bit.
"It's a different season. Twelve months down the track and we're a better team."
Lyon is the Sea Eagles' next-choice goal-kicker should captain Matt Orford's ankle injuries flare up.
