The opening weekend of Super League includes two fixtures brought forward in order to free up space for Leeds' Carnegie World Club Challenge against Manly Sea Eagles on Mar 1 and also Harlequins friendly against the NRL champions on Feb 19.
Harlequins host Bradford Bulls on Feb 8, two days after Leeds v Celtic, when Wigan are also at home to Wakefield.
ENGAGE SUPER LEAGUE 1st rd (Feb 14/15): Bradford v Hull KR, Castleford v Harlequins, Catalans v Huddersfield, Hull v Wigan, Leeds v Wakefield, Salford v Celtic, St Helens v Warrington,
I'm a better fan than you
Because I don't "Boo"!!!
Yes I bloody know transfer fees do not count on the salary cap for those illiterates that need it explaining to them because they assume everyone is as thick as they are

Re: SUPER LEAGUE 14 (2009 season) Fixtures and news
So I see Whelan has won out again.
Saints match on Maundy Thursday is ridiculous and ruins a great tradition; ditto bringing forward the Wakefield match. Both matches will suffer from lower crowds. I hope IL is pushing for compo from Whelan.
Also don't believe the Club line on playing the home fixture against Celtic Crusaders on Sunday 19th April is to give the players more recovery time after the Catalan trip on Easter Monday. The real reason is Latics are at home to Man Utd on the 18th and Whelan doesn't want his precious pitch being damaged by us playing on Friday night.
I would prefer it if the club just came out and said "That old **** Whelan won't let us play our fixtures on the planned dates!".
