Fullback: Phelps or Richards?

I can see see Phelps being a bench starter with Pat at FB. Reason being if tommy, mark, smith or sam get a bit stuck he can come off the bench or give the centres/ wingers a breather perhaps?

I'd prefer richards - someone mentioned his kicking we missed his boot

We did, but rumours are he's out for a few weeks. Looks like Roberts has been practising, though, he did get one nice one from the touchline, and wasn't far away with the one he missed.

Here's a thought to ponder. Several posters on here, Geoff was one, that loud mouth from Standish was another kept saying why does Noble not play Phelps at FB. He never did until as per normal he was more or less forced too. Does last night and the reluctance to play Phelps at FB not look bad upon our esteemed coach Mr Noble who incidentally has toy motorbikes on his shelves at Orrell.

Lets not forget Amos is an 'outstanding' fullback too CP.

hmmm im finkin phelps full back , richards right wing im not sure about roberts yet and yesterdays match he had 2 oppurtunities and failed to take them both and then cocked up for there try so i would give that a try

Could have been worse last night if Mathers had not gone to Warrington he would have played last night .IMO i think Phelps played well at FB .If you have to compare Richards and Phelps ,Richards is solid in defense and positional play is spot on but his clearing the line runs IMO are lethargic .Phelps clearing runs and backing up seemed to to be better if Richards could up his tempo then it would be Richards over Phelps.I was very impressed with Phelphs last night considering that he not played for 7 weeks .
