Fielden was a great player until he got socked a couple of times. I still think he has it in him, just that BN can't find it. Perhaps he should see a shrink (Fielden that is, although on second thoughts perhaps both of them)or perhaps a new coach might just be able to get into his mind.

I know fans want to pretend otherwise but he is really damaging our clubs chances. It is a disgrace that the highest paid prop in the world of RL cannot start games which is when props really earn their money. Where is the pride in a man that once threw a hissy fit if he was even taken off? We were really under the cosh in the first half and the No1 prop at any club should not be content to watch it from the bench. No club can pay so much of their cap money to somebody offering so little. He is stealing a living.

Worse when he did come on he was lazy. Particularly worrying, he was lazy in defence where normally at least he has put effort in previously albeit not hurting players with his tackles. Last night he came on and it was no coincedence that Leeds started scoring. Buderus was class and as soon as you got lazy defenders he was all over them. Fielden at times was massaging his tackle count figure which is unforgiveable IMO. Two men would make the tackle and for no reason he would join it when it was not needed with the ball carrier falling to the ground. He then proceeded to take an age to get back in position. Our defensive alignment went awry. When the ball was kicked downfield Fielden and Feka were the last Wigan players to get there. Now if Fielden is running at the same pace as Feka 10 yards behind the rest of the team there is something wrong. Petro would not be so. Andy Platt, Kelvin Skerrett never were. The effort is not even there anymore.

16 men gave it their all. 1 did not deserve his place in the Cherry n White. I honestly think he should be dropped. Mossop could do a far better job for the amount of time Fielden spends on the field because it is going to come down to that sooner or later. Once Lockers, Bailey etc return then do the Mossops, Flannagans etc deserve to be dropped whilst Fielden continues to let us down? NO.

Fielden should be dropped, encouraged to leave. It can be done Finch at Parramatta this season is an example. If Fielden has any pride he would walk. Some club will be daft enough to sign him albeit on less money. His contract money being freed will make a huge difference to Wigan RLFC

Fielden you are not fit to wear the shirt. You are stealing our money. Go ASAP.

Ignore those stats. I am not even sure they are correctly updated but stats are just that. The tackle busts one is an absolute joke. I do not think Fielden has made a clean break but he has made zillion tackle busts. So what does that say? Some of his other stats are far from flattering.

Ultimately the bottom line is he is paid to be our top front line prop and he is not fulfilling that role. Fans are not stupid. They know where Fielden ranks match by match. Coley had a much better game as did Prescott. Can you imagine Wire fans watching Morley and seeing him being the worst prop in their team? Peacock for Leeds? Burgess for Bradford? None are paid what Fielden is and he hurts our team.

In your preoccupation with myself you show a lack of understanding. I forgive you though. I want Wigan to win every week, every season. I did not think we would beat Leeds and I am not sure many did. Wigan through and through but I refuse to become a demented seal just because it wears Cherry n White.

Stuart Fielden dos not deserve to wear the Cherry n White and I defy anybody to tell me he currently deserves a spot over Mossop? I watched a young prop flog himself to a standstill today, Ben Davies. That is what a prop is about. It's not a nice job and most cannot do it. Stuart Fielden cannot do it anymore.

I agree. The trouble with Fielden is he bounces backwards off tackles spins round and makes almost no yards. I'm not sure if this was a trait of his when he was at his best.

I think he could learn a little off Prescott who continues to drive with his legs after the initial contact and make extra yards.

However, when I played sport when I was young enough and fit enough and to a high standard the one thing I was never accused of was lacking 'bottle' which whether you like it or not is what fans, opposing players have said since he came to Wigan. However, if you pay me what Fielden gets paid I will run through brick walls just for the hell of it.

Simple question. Lockers/Bailey are fit. Who do you drop Fielden or Mossop? It's a no brainer and whether you like it or not Fielden is no better than DV.

I remember watching Andy Platt play for Widnes v Wigan. His money was in the bank, he had left Wigan, left Salford and was well past his sell by date. Wigan were a far better team than Widnes. Platty pulled up with a very bad injury. He had nothing to prove was probably playing his last season in RL on less money than he had earned for several seasons and yet he still gave it everything on virtually one leg v the Wigan pack. That's class.

What Fielden is doing is a mockery. Forget about we fans. He is letting those players down who are his teammates. Worse, Noble is allowing him to do that. Wayne Bennett is known as being a coach who cares for his players as people but that has never stopped him making hard decisions to benefit the team/club. There is a huge ? about Noble having the same detachment. You can be too loyal as a coach and as a fan.

Just remember when you are paid whjat Stuart Fielden you are expected to deliver to that value. He should be MOM or near to week in week out. Do you think Hanley, Gregory or Edwards ever questioned Kelvin or Platty? You can bet your bottom dollar they would have questioned Fielden. If you didn't put it in they told you. Maybe that is the problem and maybe Rads was right. You cannot accept mediocrity if you want to be the best.

Depends how long you want him to play for OAM. I would say he could do short stints but ideally no.If Wigan needed to play him he would not let anybody down though. He would be better served going on loan for a full season in 2010.

I know this much. He would be driving the ball up as much as he could, making decent tackles and getting back into position ASAP ready for the next tackle.

Mossop is the ideal replacement for Fielden
