Ok new standoff and new prop comes in for next season. WHO GETS TH BULLET?
We shout for a consistant team. We cry when the youth dont get a chance. We call for stability yet we crave new signings,
Sorry but you are shouting for a new feast when you have a banquet in fnt of you. We play the younsters next seas and come nineth. is that acceptable. Or we come first but the reserves don't get a game.
The mind boggles :)

Jim relax. You seem to be getting all tense as the days go by and Noble has not been given a new contract. Have you noticed who is not attending the fans forum?

You must have forgotten the reason there is speculation we will sign a half back is because it was IL who said he was after a prop and a half back and that was after re-signing TL (when he also said he thought TL would end up as a 9).

So you need to take IL to task if you think we ought to stick with the players we have.

I am certainly not craving a new signing here as given we offered TL a new deal we should IMO stick with him at 7 rather then sign Brough and risk losing MM which is what I think the result would be. It is the lesser of two evils because really TL is not a world class 7 but what is done is done - we have given him a new deal.

So lets not make things worse by signing an average number 7 that may cost us the services of an up and coming player like MM.

Well my mind is boggling at what point you are trying to make here as it seems contradictory to what you wrote above.

Are you saying it would be a good thing to sigh Brough and move TL to 9? If MM was lost in the process would that be a good thing? MM is hardly a reserve player but a regular member of the 1st 17 and a very effective one.

If that is the case Mike why is he not attending the fans forum? McGuire was described as a tactical genius this week. Never heard Noble describe as such. For what is it worth I think he will get a new contract by default which makes it untenable for anybody with principles.

Why do we continue to speculate that MM will leave the club if we aquire a new halfback? Anybody who knows anything about rugby league must realise that he is the best hooker at the club and, in my opinion, will become an international player in the next 2/3 years.

Why would we sacrifice MM rather than Piggy? If you compare and contrast the attributes of both players then the Yorkshire lad clearly wins the number 9 jersey.

Teams compete well at the highest level because several quality players are vying for the same position and I suspect that IL is trying to create such a scenario at Wigan.

Regarding Brough, he would be filling a gap until young Mellor steps up to the plate.
