i agree mate.It makes you sick when there are literally thousands coming here claiming benefits and these guys are actually working,it hacks me off
The Polish are legaly entitled to work here! You can't blame them for exploiting a weak immigration system. Look at the large number of British builders that worked in Europe during the 80's, we weren't complaining then. The Aussies are a different story, you try going down under, getting in to go on holiday is bad enough, let alone on a working visa. If they weren't entitled to work, then why shouldn't they be sent home? We are an island, with a limited number of resources, and if we continue to allow this wholesale influx of immigrants, we're going downhill even faster than we are already. And before you all start jumping up and down, I'm not racist, in fact I'm probably the least racist person you'll know, but I do feel we as a nation should start to take control of who is allowed into our country. If you haven't got something to offer this country by way of a skill, or an investment that will benefit the country, SORRY MATE, YOU AIN'T COMING IN! The one thing I will say is, we need to stop blaming the people who exploit our pathetic excuse for an immigration policy, and start blaming ourselves for voting in the monkeys that dictate this policy. Stand as a nation and say we'll vote in the party with the toughest policy on immigration, and watch how quickly policy changes, but we won't. We'll just sit here whinging and blaming everyone else.
I for one have no problem with the many nationalities I work with (Polish, Russian, Czech, Slovakian, Indian, Pakistani) they are just people like me, working hard to pay their bills, but speak to these people and they themselves will tell you that their countries wouldn't allow this kind of immigration to happen, so why should we?

Before I sold my business Poles were the only people looking for jobs. I hired and never regretted it. Work on time, never stopped, good laugh, and a work ethos that put locals to shame. Could not fault them.

Absolutely Jim. The Poles, Czechs etc, for the vast majority have a fantastic work ethic. You get the odd numpty, but where don't you in life. Like I said above, my gripe is not with the people, it's with this country's policy.

I couldn't have put it better myself. Enoch had the right idea but was somewhat misunderstood, maybe a bit of a radical policy at the time though.

For people who claim not to be racist, I am reading an awful lot of BNP style propaganda.

Agree that this is a small island with limited room and resources. But if everyone on the planet was forced to return to the country of their origins, it would be standing room only here.

We would have to accommodate almost the entire polulations of Oz NZ, Canada and a big chunk of the Yanks. No idea how much elbow room I would end up with in Ireland, which was where my folks hailed from before they joined the mass exodus to 'Scowzz!

BNP style propaganda? Give me a break. This is what is wrong with this country. You voice a opinion and it's "you can't say that it's racist" Why is it racist for me to want to safeguard the future of my country for me and my family. No one was talking about "Sending them back home", I was merely pointing out that to continue to allow a massive influx of immigration is detrimental to the already fragile state of this country. The argument of heritage is too long and too complicated for any of us to contemplate, and at the end of the day isn't what I was talking about. Read what I wrote properly mate, before you start banding around accusations of BNP propeganda, I have no time for those narrow minded idiots, nor will I ever have. I am simply taking a stance on what I consider a weak immigration policy, not the people who exploit it.
