Re: Ganson
I'm no Ganson fan, but I thought he had a pretty decent and even game - sure he got a few things wrong, but we "got away" with just as much as Saints did, I thought.
Can't blame the ref for our loss, basically it was just a game too far, as it has been for the last three years.

Actually, Ian Ollerton was never a Warrington ref! He grew up with me in Kitt Green and was still living there when he took up reffing. When he became qualified, he had moved to Warrington. Clever lad our Ian!!the pieman wrote:the connolly brothers but before the age of being able to ref your home town club
the exception to this was Holdsworth who was from a suburb of Leeds, but they used to say he was from somewhere else to justify refereeing leeds
ganson did us no favours tonight

Re: Ganson
I thought Ganson was fair. Some errors but on the whole I'd say balanced.
I can only think of one game where the ref cocked up so monumentally that it gifted the game to another side and that was Leeds V Bradford at the Magic weekend 2 years ago when Tamsey scored off a penalty kick and was a mile off-side.
It's easy to blame the ref. It's not our fault. It's the ref. He's blind / stupid / biased / bent or corrupt / got it in for us.
