This is the point I was making earlier about trying to play in all areas of the pitch.
We need to go back to basics and the majority of SL teams won't live with us.
as long as we make yards and get out of our own half which we haven't been doing. Its about balance

True but isn't the current perspective we have been below par v Hull, Wire and now Leeds? Is that not cause for concern along with things like Sam not being as effective at full back? Given we also threw a point away v Saints, Salford was nothing special performance-wise we can only say we have played two games to a satisfactory standard IMO.

Talking about class, what about that superb break by faz and the brilliant chip-over by sam. And that superb ball by tommy that put precky under the sticks. Joel was also high quality on his return. Then the kick by sam under huge pressure at the death. And then remember that this was at Leeds were we've h ad much worse results than this in the last year or two!

True, not clicking 100% yet, but look at all the disruption with injuries to key men and of course all the untimely suspensions, coupled with all the newcomers having to gel, not mentioning the disruption caused by the gleeson situation, on & off-field. They dont become a bad team overnight.

Perhaps the last 15 tonite could have been the beginning of the turnaround - finch & combinations comes to mind and roberts hardly played a full 80 since his injury. The effort is not in question either surely?, maybe they could be trying too hard which can lead to mistakes.

I think too many folk are listening to those 2 sky 'experts' who struggle to be anything like positive when it comes to wigan. Its not a sport you can just turn the tap on or off to get results, we are still well in touch in the league & remember we ran the WCC champions to the last minute. Last season Leeds' form nosedived after their WCC match - just have some faith & don't panic. We are not in too bad a position. Hope this makes a bit of sense.

When the short pass between Finch and Farrell becomes more polished we'll be making linebreaks like nobodies business. Once we start making better yards with Pat, Fielden and Deacs in Finch's kicks into the ingoal area will win us games time and time again. Finch has been out with a neck injury, he clearly hasn't had the chance to train with the team as often as is needed for a new player but he'll be a star man for us later in the season.
