I think it is admirable that people have apologised and fair play to them, but I have never said that people were wrong to criticise him Josie and as a paying customer you have every right to complain if you are not happy with your product, basically all I am saying is that people need to learn lessons before writing players off and give them a chance to prove themselves in the WIGAN shirt over a sustained period before the criticism should start, especially reaching the levels of abuse thrown at Finch after 1-2 games for example. I have an opinion on Lauaki but if he signs for Wigan I will support him and give him every chance to show his skills over a sustained length of time before he is criticised unlike some who have written him off already, but in their defence you can only go off what you have seen so far from him, guess I am just a bit more patient.

No. Young free and single when I met him early in the year. Actually said he couldn't say what the future would hold if he met a nice English lass! :)

In life people tend to sometimes point the finger a little bit early TBW, and this has been evident with some posters regarding Finchy.
Same was said of Geoff Lima, no more so than me.
Geoff Lima has proven my comments of him well stupid, and I am really pleased he has.
As you say patience is a virtue.

Everyone is entitled to an opinion but for me and probably many others that is way off the mark!

Let me guess the conversation went something like this:-

'That bloody Frinch and Lime are friggin useless Frank, back in my day they wouldn't have lasted 2 bloody minutes!'

'Bloody right Ted, they couldn't lace your boots!'

Lets be honest Finch had a serious injury and had to settle into a new team. It took a little while but so what!! He is now at the heart of everything we do and seems to command the respect of the other players. He and lockers make a great leadership combination. Love to watch him play.

It just proves the point: good players don't become bad players overnight unlessthere are other factors at work.
