I sit in the south stand, we sit in a large group and it suits us. However i have sat in all stands Yep including the north for an international.
East was my second best followed by the west for the same reasons others have posted, people do turn and look at you if you shout. didn't stop me though! My daughter who was with me the last time in the west wanted to ask a steward if we could take our seats in the south for the game and come back afterwards. I think its just more noticeable when you don't normally sit there. The fans are great all over the stadium and are just probably looking at you wishing they could come and sit with you
