Can someone say why have the TOTAL points scored, instead of the predicted final score ?

As new to this, I can't understand it this way - usually you go for the scoreline i.e. who wins on the scoreboard. Obviously, you then get the total points, but you could get the same number of points, but with the opposition winning - or do we just say that simply doesn't HAPPEN.

Could be a stupid question from me !!??

Nezza, who wins on the scored board isn't important (as long as it is wigan) or the size of the win does not mater. it is the total points in the game. If you guest 42 and wigan won 42-0 then your right if wigan won 22-20 then you right. If Gaints wong 30-12 then your right (but unhappy coz we lost). You don't have to state the score line. There are no extra points for this.

Thanks Wiggy, I guessed this was how it worked.

Still though, I don't understand why not predict the score - more skill/knowledge needed to do that, or is that just me nit-picking :)

Tried that, but then how do you score it?
if you went for a 24 6 win to wigan and we won 25 4 how would you score the points.
Having done the scoring in the past, best keep it simples :)

Yeah, AtoB, can understand it would be more difficult to grade the scoring for all those involved.

Probably need Bet Fred's Computer !

So, just a laymans prediction for Sunday -
