At the moment there is a lot of anger, rightly imo. This leads to passionate posts. You rightly said though, Gods post's hit the spot.
For the first time SW has been outcoached, lets hope he has the sence and balls to learn from it,and instead of"putting his mark on the team" start to use the tactics MM used so effectively especially in defence.

With you 100%. I was furious with Wane's approach to the Widnes game. As I said in another post if you want to win the league as Wane says he does you make sure you win against teams like Widnes early in the season in case you ned the points in the bank later on if there are problems..

No player needed a rest in that game and so one or two youngsters given a run was all he needed to do. I also really don"t like his attitude about allowing Wigan players on loan to other clubs to play against us. If he can weaken the opposition by depriving them of a player then that is what you do. It is not a gentlemans club where he needs to try and set himself as some sort or moral pedestal. If anything it is a bit arrogant.

If we had won that game we could have given this one up given the injury situation and rested a clearly unfit Finch and other players. NOW is the time some players need a rest and points in the bank allows that. Instead he will have to aim to win every game and do as he did today. We wil go into the playoffs knackered.

Second time PW. McDermott did him in the semi. I'm as disappointed as the next man but credit must be given to Wire, they are a bloody good outfit and will take some stopping.

They have been the best for 2 years now but still no GF, never mind winning one!

Not a lot to add to what's been already said.
-bad tactics i.e. too much emphasis on attack and not enough on defence.
-poor choice of players
-no Plan B
-not enough strategic thought i.e. looking at the Season as a whole: essential in my opinion if you want to win anything at the end.
I agree, more attention should be given to planning each game on it's merits and rotating players especially when injuries happen.
Finally! Let's not forget there were 17 players out there who didn't perform the way they should at this level.
Very, very disappointed but Usain Bolt has just made me feel better!

Reality is that Wire haven't won anything yet. We've certainly made it harder for ourselves but wont it be wonderful if we beat them by that single point. Anything can happen yet and good as they have been this season it doesn't mean to say they'll be able to get through the play offs as easily.
