So on the same token as most opinions on here we shouldn't play Tommy again either!?!?!
It matters not how long Stu has been out he will be fitter than Tommy is now both should be steaming gym fit and training fit but Stu has had a 20's game too.
Oh and for those who have played sports or trained to a high level will know that if you stop due to injury or whatever your fitness drops at a rapid rate of knots so it matters not how long they have been out for in this instance.

If there are players who are carrying knocks at this stage then I say play him. I wouldn't play him just to get match fitness, but i would be happy to play him ahead of someone with a knock or who might not have looked as good in training. Put him in the 19 for sure.
He was spent after playing 15 mins in the U20s! This is a step-up in class and therefore I can't believe that we would take such a chance given the importance of the occasion.

If Waney sees Fielden as one of our best Prop options for the match against Hull KR, then he plays.
We arent seeing how the bloke has been performing in training or in comparrison to other props.
If Waney thinks Fielden is good enough then thats fair enough for me.

Wane has already spoke on the subject and said it is to late for Fielden, he has not enough time left to get match fit. It would be to much of a gamble to play him now, like what was said on other posts he needs five to six matches to get up to speed for the play offs. I for one am sorry he cant get match fit in time because he would have added some extra humf to our pack which last season ran out of steam in the play offs

Fielden struggled fitness wise at times in the reserves but he could possibly do very short spells v KR. The original intention was to play Fielden v KR and Tommy v Saints. Obviously the best laid plans etc.
If Fielden cannot play v KR then is that not the end of his Wigan career? bar playing for the reserves?
A selection is a huge gamble but could he offer something? Impossible to say after 2 seasons good / bad etc? Who do you drop / rest. The likes of Flower similarly need game time.

Seen it suggested on RedVee but that's all. Suppose that's how rumours start!

Yeah - you're right about that. I did pass on the picture of Jamie Foster in a Wigan shirt that was on the forum to see if it would cause a stir but the response was that we could have him for free as long as we signed a non-refundable clause in the contract. Maybe we could suggest a straight swap and throw in a free one-day pass to Lourdes?!?!?

If we do the business today makes much more sense to play him next week v stains. It could be his fair well appearance. Better than sending him off to a new club without a chance to bow out. The chances are there will be injuries in the playoffs, or before, and a fit abet rusty Fielden might be valuable on the sideline. Playoff games are far more intense than league matches. Jim
