I have just had a phone call from the club asking why I had not renewed.
I said after thirty years I had decided not to renew as:
1. I was disappointed with the number of quality players leaving and not being replaced and speculation over Hock, Mossop going to Australia.
2. The club seem to leave the fans in the dark as to what is happening eg Hock
3. Many fans believe the regular season is now just a series of pre-season friendlies. So what is the point of getting a season ticket?
The lady asked if there was anything she could do to tempt me to renew. I said no.
I hope this message gets back to IFL.

Time that some supporters faced up to the fact that the club had a bigger number of oversea's players over recent season's as a interim measure while the club produced their own good young quality players who over the last couple of season's have graduated to the first team squad with others in the pipeline. Our game cannot no longer compete with rugby union and the Australian game where money is concerned,so club's now have to be more dependent on producing their own players instead of getting players at the end of their careers from down under. With the exception of Tommy Leuluai and George Carmont (retired, who have we lost who is better than the players who will replace them?

Lima was my favourite player. I think fans find it easy to pick on certain players and make them scapegoats. I do not see the benefit in this.
Do you honestly believe our team will be stronger next year?

If not stronger, then as strong. The person we will miss most is Tommy but my thoughts are that the play next season will be slightly different and they have the off season to embrace new game plays.
So called 'fans' need to get behind the club instead of whinge whinge whinge.
I was considering not re-newing but purely because of the debacle of having a 5th placed team proclaimed 'champions'. I have renewed as I believe I will be entertained next season.
The rfl need to listen to the fans. We are the only group of stakeholders not listened to except with a few sound bites of excited fabs at the GF. The champions should be the ones who finish top - simple as. The GF should be a separate lower status comp.

HG if I put my really optimistic head on I think it is possible for Blake Green to be as effective as Finch. Lima has to be better than Taylor (although I concede Taylor will develop in future years). Smith will be a backward step compared to Tommy. Whoever replaces Carmont is going to be a backward step. Not sure what is going on with Hock, Hansen and Mossop (all linked with NRL).
My big hope is that some of the youngsters progress significantly and become first team regulars.

I think you will find that only Leuluai will be missed by the majority of supporters. I will reserve judgement on Green and Taylor as I have never seen them in play. Otherwise the squad is not much different then last season.

That was my reason as well, the game is becoming a joke

Renewed ours yesterday and was told the 6000 th person to renew had been in an hour earlier and been sent up to the training ground to meet SW and whoever was up there training. They also said there had been a lot of comments this year from fans who had thought quite deeply about whether to renew or not and all had made similar comments as to those mentioned on here.
