That's debatable! Whilst technically correct he was shite though.

Wigan made the same error saints did when the signed the wrong brother. Phil Adamson signed for them when the much better brother (matt) ended up at Leeds. Ditto Matty

good to see the season of good will continues.
Why do people always look for negatives in this world? Over the years we have been treated to world class players across all areas of the park and probably seen some of the best coaches come and go. Yet we still look for the down side of things.
Don't forget, how players perform is often due to the environment that they are subjected to. Put an average half back behind an awesome pack and you will see a different player.

Before you start, I'm not putting my cherry and white spectacles on!

A&B - dead right ! I think this time of the year is called the "silly season."

That's the whole point of questions like these during the off season though

If you don't want to reminisce, pose questions or debate during this time you might as well close the site down for 4 months of the year

Good call WW - ok Butt Monkey, agree there is a long off season, only why post & debate not only negative, but completely meaningless topics on here, that prove absolutely nothing of any value.

There's so much to look forward to with just a month to kick off, there's got to be something there of interest to discuss, such as where people think we'll finish, how consistent the make-up of the side is looking, how we'll do against Wolves, Leeds, Saints, etc., how the young kids like Hughes will go, the Green/Smith partnership - just a couple of subjects to get tongues wagging.

But your missing the point!

Anyone can decide to post how good the likes of Offiah or Greg etc were and the discussions about them being good or bad will be pretty tepid. They also would be tretty meaningless and of no value - like I said better off for Mike to close the site so people like you don't have to respond to threads you don't like

In comparison, when discussing bad/mute points about players past, the results are a far greater, varied opinion. What some would see as a players strength - others would not (and that is down to personal opinion). That makes threads like this more fun as you can get some very differing views
