Last season to me was a big disapiontment, we should have been at Wembley or Oldtrafford or evan both. Right or wrong I blame the coach not the players for not achieving are full potential. This is the reason I am not convinced evan with the good results we have had so far with Wane, if we dont win the challenge cup or GF cup I will expect Wane to go. He took over a winning team from Madge and he has to my eyes took us backwards. There is a long way to go yet and I hope Wane will take us back into that winning team when all teams feard us but I am not holding my breath

For the challenge cup I blame Sam Tomkins for the error strewn and the rather petulant 20-25 minutes he had at the start of the game. That did the damage.

Wane did screw up the Play-offs with Murphy at full back. If IL does not renew his contract who do we replace him with as we do not have a chance in getting Tim Sheens in he will get a job in the NRL. Apart from Tony Smith there is no great coach in SL at this moment in time. As for the team going backwards most of SL is going that direction now.

Last year can be forgiven 1st as a SL coach but this year that luxury has rightly gone its his team his style and it needs to win trophies.
Forgiven???? I'm speechless!

As I said elsewhere, it seems we should be ashamed when we win the LLS. It is like Hollywood's equivalent of the Grammy!
That is quite a good analogy. I wish it was different but it isn't.

What is weird is that financially it is the CC teams need to get to, not the GF.

Can't understand why a coach needs to be forgiven for winning a trophy!

We won less than expected, when people ask me was I happy to win only the LLS my response is its ok because it was SW's 1st year in charge and LLS takes some winning but we should have won more.

Do you think semi finals in CC and play offs is enough Stuey? To me that's mediocrity, we should be making finals and winning some along the way. A CC or GF win is acceptable IMO.

Well if that is the case, we are playing in a league alongside 12 mediocre teams!

You could equally blame Tomkins for the fact that Murphy was playing fullback in the play offs. Wasn't his injury caused by his outward bound adventure that led to the situation?

I have no idea how Sam got injured before the play offs a PM would be appreciated. Regardless of how he got injured there were better options for full back than Murphy. Pat should have gone and Gelling on the wing. That was Wane's call but the CC is another matter and anyone who blames Wane for that then did not see the game.
