I saw it how it was going off evidence of form and tactics we didn't look like a top 8 side let alone Grand final winners. Just having blind faith isn't the way I go about things so I'm entitled to my opinion, i hate these types of " I told you so" threads to justify my feelings about the club.

They played well tonight and deserve credit the defence was outstanding and Smiths kicking again was the difference also having at least 3 props on the field all the time really helped against the very physical " hands in at the ptb" forwards. The dangerous Ferres was none existent. I praise and criticise on a game to game basis. There is only 2-3 long standing issues for me Wane, Green and tactics they all can be solved one way or another some straight away, one in a years time

I wish Green wasn't so error prone more assertive and controlled even tonight he made a few errors but he won us the game in the end, cut the errors out and take the game by the scruf of the neck when the chips are down and my opinion may change.
Good post. You are probably not a real supporter though...

It seems you are all missing the point, it is not really about tonight's result, or Wanes tactics or Green, it is about certain posters on here CLEARLY stating we have no chance in the playoffs and will not win a game, then after tonight because we did win you should be eating humble pie, because you are CLEARLY WRONG!!

I saw a quote form Brough saying that their performance wasn't good enough for play off football and I think a reason why may be the big game got to them. We handled the pressure better than Hull did at Wembley too.
They started well and I was worried but we hung in, we started to put some big hits in, sneaked ahead and the pressure built on them.
For once our 2nd half performance was good.
I had the Sky sports web page open watching the match and comments were made about Hudds confidence draining away. Might have been Stevo who said it come to think of it.

My wrists are still recovering from last week and as for Humble Pie eating why? I'm enjoying the victory as much as any Pie eater despite being in a state of shock!
Posters that said we have no chance in the playoffs, will not win a game, SW is inept etc etc etc, should be eating humble pie now! If that was you WW then enjoy it, if it wasn't then fair enough!!
I posted as I saw it and didn't watch tonight because I had better things to do after watching complete shite over the last six or seven weeks. I'm as happy as you are so what's your point?
By all accounts Huddersfield were poor and tbh that was the only way we were ever going to have a chance. Having consumed an amount of beer at the mo I don't know where and who we could be lined up to play. I do know for sure though that my line of pessimism will never result in disappointment, I also know that your state of mind could!!:D
You must have a lot of faith in our team to not watch the game, also complete shite over the past 6-7 weeks, we won a CC 3 weeks ago!! As for Huuds being poor?? We made them poor. Being a pessimist must be really miserable hope the beer cheers you up!

Anybody willing to concede that maybe, just maybe, the coaches DO know what they're doing? :craz:

[quote="cpwigan"]Why TB?

We won a game which is fantastic but does 1 match make a player / a coach / a team world beaters or conversely hopeless? For anybody to form their opinion based on a single game would be somewhat silly do you not agree whether that opinion is positive or negative.

I stand by my assertion that Wane is a poor coach and our owner is not much better but as I have repeatedly asserted we have the players. Hence why you will not find me criticising Green, defending him. However, I did raise the matter of Powell pre this match. Do you remember those posters telling how good he was after 10 minutes

I for one am very happy we won tonight :)

You eat humble pie when you are wrong and regarding tonight's result some posters were clearly wrong that is all, regarding SW and Green I am far from naive and realise one Swallow does not make a Summer, I was only being mischievous about them 2 topics as I stated earlier!

I'll eat some humble pie, as I had begun to doubt that we would play well again this year.
6 big games and 6 big wins.
Better tactics, better selection, better preparation.
Wonderful. Absolutely wonderful.

Some people (the ahem, "true supporters") have blind faith and others base their predictions as a betting man would weighing up the form as opposed to simply having a punt as a gambler would.

For some reason some people take exception to the considered approach and feel the need to adopt an "I told you so approach" if things go their way.

I have one thing to say to that:

Even a blind squirrel will find a nut eventually.

I can't claim credit for that saying. Someone on rlfans posted it the other day but it's bloody apt in my opinion!

Everyone other than the resident coaches on here who have won CCs, GFs, Ashes, and World Cups. They KNOW they are right and Wane is wrong.

Why don't we just listen to them? We may learn something!
