Got something to discuss about RL in general? Then this is the place to post it.

I think it actually affected Westwood more than Green because he started to realize what a cheap shot scummy ploy it was. IMO not typical of Westwood. I believe he became embarrassed / ashamed of his actions, trying to rationalize / excuse himself is silly.

I will go with that CP as well!!

He didn't look overly embarrassed when he scored his try and Warrington were on top, just think he's trying to worm his way out of a lengthy ban.

Cooper was every bit as bad for me. I'm not sure Westwood knew for sure he was going to hit the face, and whilst he knows all the dirty tricks as all players who play under Smith learn, he isn't the worst for it around (he wouldn't be top 10 amongst Smith's Leeds filth academy trainees). Cooper was a big swinging arm when the game was gone. He knew what he was doing and he could see the players head. Could have sparked PAt out cold if he was tough enough.

[quote="DaveO"]Have you seen Green's face? There is picture of him on the BBC match report.

Yeah, one big smile. Did you see Westwood's?

1 or 2 match ban apparently.
What a joke. If that happened in Civvy Street he would be charged with GBH or ABH.

You could not make it up. Mind you it has always been so and they wonder why the RFL / disciplinary board have no credibility.

Someone on RedVee has suggested that refs are given a 3rd card option-the Exclusion Card. This would mean a player has to leave the pitch and can play no further part in the game. He can be replaced and 13 players remain on the pitch but the bench is then reduced to 3.

Anyone have thoughts on this?

In what sort of scenarios would that be used?

If the game he has been banned for has no credibility he has not been banned, simples. A club game with points at stake or a cup game with knock out should qualify, or a WC game but a friendly where there was no guarantee he would have been picked anyway is extracting the urine.
