Couldn't see this happening if Shaun Edwards,McDermott, Ellery or Waney was coach. Fear and respect would mean that the players would tow the line. They are also all better coaches than the idiot we have in charge at the moment.

Yes he knew (imo) exactly who went out and instead of doing the decent thing and asking an assistant to go and wake Gaz Hock up he decided to use the situation to prove a point.
As i said on the other thread he was an easy target, he has dropped Graham & Micky Mac because it's to our advantage to finish in 2nd spot to avoid getting NZ.

Two wrongs don't make a right - Andy Greg did do all those things you mentioned above and yes was a fantastic player of his generation as were others in the team monie coached. The game however has moved on from that time. Cp I'm sure previously in the past you have talked negatively about players drinking whilst being pros? How is this now different?

I do agree that McNamara is a waste of space he hasn't done anything at all to warrant this job his decisions to go to sa etc are ludicrous and the situation has been handled poorly. Re hock I am in two minds I think he should be punished as should the others whether it is the correct thing to omit him from the squad I'm not sure although the people who think he could be the difference between us winning or not are deluded as either way we have no chance.

At no time have I ever considered McNamara was or is the man for the job.The people who are equally to blame is the rfl for his selection in the first instance and continued support for a man who is quite clearly not up to the task at hand.

Now IL is giving the rfl some grief at the way the game is structured and the direction it should be heading if we are to have a future at all.

Perhaps it might be a good idea if he lead a revolt of Super League chairmen and demanded the resignation of the whole damned rfl and start all over again with people who have league at heart and not just in it for a fat pay day without doing bugger all to earn it.

I'm not qualified enough to give an account of all the wrong doings that I see within our game or how to sort it out.But unless someone with an ounce of sense does something about the man management at the rfl. We will not have a game to follow before much longer.

Hock,McNamara, and whom ever else was involved are not the only ones to blame for this fiasco it all starts at the top. Namely the clowns governing our game.

Cook if I had my way NOBODY would drink alcohol or smoke but sadly in the real world they do. I think players never should but those that do not consume alcohol are a tiny minority.

Curfews create problems. One factor for Joel Tomkins leaving Wigan was he was fed up of being watched by all and sundry culminating in a false accusation he had broken a curfew. Both Wane and Madge liked to consume copious amounts of alcohol.

So many players break curfews that it becomes silly and pontless.

I wish every player was a Hanley / Edwards but that is just wishful thinking.

I thought we had to finish top of our group to avoid playing NZ in the semi's? :doz:
