Lot more maturity today I thought, we played cracking Defence and the weather made for some poor attacking play. all in all tho we beat the wire and stevo and eddy will be crying tonight !

Don't know about that but it is nice and restful watching a game where the full back takes every high kick without ever looking like he is going to drop it, must be something to do with playing at fullback in the NRL for 12 seasons do you think??

Too true - Bentham is generally good and even handed but tonight deary me. He missed a ton of things for both sides but was bordering on biased with his policing of the PTB.

Thought Warrington defended well and were physical, Wigan had a bit more class to get the points on the board. Good all round team performance :D

Sorry Ian but I am reserving judgement. Too many dodgy passes on our own line. The pass for the interception for them to score. I really want him to play well. I don't like to criticise our players but I need more persuasion from Bowen to feel confidence in him. I am sure he will come good but we need him playing well now.

Actually we don't need him playing well now, it would be nice if he was mind, but we need him getting better and better every week till we reach the business end of the season, remember Green and Smith last season?

The best performance this year. I thought our forwards won the game for us, something I really thought I would not say this season. Not much go forward but they tackled tackled and then tackled some more. Well done.

Bateman looks a class act.
Charnley tried
Thornley, sorry not a fan
Crosby, his best game for Wigan, but needs more aggression
Bowen, still not impressed
Farrell, a total work horse, well done
Petty, nope

Lets keep it going, lets hope!

Hang on. How many interceptions did Finchy give away when he was with us. And DaveO was apoplectic that we didn't do enough to keep him. Bowen is getting better by the game, something I'm sure will continue now he has his family here with him.

Great defence to nil Wire (the attack conceeded the points). Unexpected that we could go from the team that played against Cas to this one in less than two weeks - maybe this demoonstrates that despite the perceived drop in quality of SL overall the margins between a good performance and a bad one are not that big.

If Bowen threw the intercept, I'm pretty sure he also threw the pass to Budgie for the Faz try. Might be wrong though.

It's always frustrating when you concede an interception try, but it is invariably when the alternative could have been a score for us. I wonder how many of our tries over the years could have been negated by an opportunistic opposition player?
