Read my Les Dawson thread Jack. I was there today and if anyone believes Bradford beat us, they are deluded. We handed over 2 points which were no use to either team. Wane knows where he wants us to finish and the hubcap does not figure in his plans.
Let's be honest here, you don't destroy a team 84-6 then lose to a much weakened version. I've watched better games played by Under 8s!
Couldn't agree more. We are having the p**s taken out of us big time. I'm sick of paying good money to travel to games to witness effortless crap. I dont mind if we get beat fair and square, but no one, including Shaun Wane, will convince me that we honestly tried to win that game today.
I feel like I have been mugged, and not for the first time this season.

and herein lies the problem of having a league that is nothing more than a long pre-season. The RFL need to bring some power back to winning the league or its going to start really effecting season tickets.
its literally pointless the league, doesnt matter a single bit anymore and teams know it, that for me is the reason that hudds and cas have seen an increase in success, its not that the league is getting closer its simply the big teams keep their powder dry till the playoffs start

Perhaps that's the reason for the change in the structure of the game next season and the scrapping of the top eight which might be all right in Australia with all its good teams, but has been a failure here and has led to a decline in intensity and also crowds with the exception of the big games.
I would not even have a top four play off. In my opinion, the top two clubs should contest the Grand Final as they have been the two most consistent clubs and gained most points.

I feel very sorry for all you supporters who spent a lot of hard earned money and wasted valuable time.
It was bad enough having to listen to on Wish FM.
I know only too well what it's like watching your team being made to look like amateurs.
Yes, every team as an off day, but not the whole bloody team!!
It was as if they had all caught a "play rubbish" virus.
What happened to that Wigan ethos of being terrified to lose?

Whilst I totally agree with the comments that what our team dished up yesterday was just not good enough and just not what we expect from our team that we pay our money to go and see, I think its a little remiss to blame it on the league system and some attempt to not win the LLS for some reason. Lets not forget some were questioning the team selection becuase we should have won it easily and have a 'tougher' game on a quick turnaround to Thursday but Wane actually selected what was arguably for some/many his stringest available and fit 17.
I think it was an attitude that we would just go and win and nothing else.
Was it the fault of the way the Challenge Cup was organised that we couldn't beat a much inferior to us Salford team in 1996?
Was it the fault of the first past the post championship in 1993-1994 that we only won on points difference that we lost to Hull KR who were releagted that year or Wakefield who narrowly weren't?
I'm sure you could find examples of games form every year where we haven't beaten teams that we should have done.
I blame the attitude because of the opposition on this one, nothing else. Unprofessional from our players. We didn't play well enough as we were expecting to win easily, Bradford did play above the level thay have been doing, helped by our poor play encouraging them, there is nothing more sinister in it than that in my opinion.
We only need one more point to mathematically seal playoffs, so if we draw on Thursday I guess its cue on the rack time, might as well not go to any other games, including Leeds and Warrington at home. (see you all there anyway!)

If we lost the game deliberately (which is what a lot of people are implying) - what position in the league do you think we are targeting?
5th seems like a good slot to me. First week is a nice easy warm up game followed by the worst of the top 4.

That is something only Wane knows Mike and I'm happy to trust his judgment. As for the feeling of 'being mugged', happily I don't share that view. The 80 minutes at Odsal was just a part of a superb away day beginning around 10.30 outside the DW. Nice coach trip in excellent company on a glorious summer's day.
Mugged? Not this guy!????

Such an awful performance for too great for individual criticism. I thought 1-17 we were poor.
Like most I could go on but that was just dreadful.
What does worry me it is not the first time it has happened. Similar dumped us out of the cup. Does anyone not think that this could happen again and dump us out of the play offs?
It's not that we lost but the manner of it.
Perhaps we've been running with too many main men missing due to injury or suspension.
Yesterday we had Goulding playing who didn't look fit.
Thornley was missing as was Burgess, Green, McIlorum, Dudson and Gelling. Six out is far too many and this is catching up with us.

Weird season all round Ted. Stains sit pretty at the top and are totally without a spine with Lomax, Walsh, Wilkin and Hohaia all wiped out and Roby dead on his feet. Still fancy them for LLS purely because no bugger else wants it, and its now the best they can hope for!
