What about wingers coming in ,scooting, piling on the pressure. It also helps on playing a game, ie piling forward with everything instead of moving the ball wide with little momentum.

How many tests did they play?or were considered for. Every Wigan player should be capable of competing 60 minutes at S, OF ORIGINlevel and 40 minutes at test level. Why not. ?

:conf: Pass

The only part that I understood was backs coming in field to scoot (I think). If so I agree with that.

Wrong way round I would suggest as State of Origin where its convicts v convicts is at a higher standard than any test match where its convicts v the rest of the world.

When Wigan signed MM ,he was slated to be a top class no 9,by the Wigan management, and they were right. Forcing various teenagers to be good enough for Wigan will not work. THey can do it or not.A top no 9 can be a good player in another position. Newton , MM,Cunningham,Clarke. The specialism is useful, but you have to be a good player. How many OZ test players could not hold down a place in side the team in another position.

PHARABUS Cassidy was a joke in the RL world,as is now Farrel. J Tomkins was too small at centre in RUGBY UNION,so Bath will laugh themselves stupid at Farrell as a forward, not good enough for the under 14s. And not good enough for parochial Wigan.
