Surely, they must want to finish 1st or 2nd?
Didn't last year and look what happened.

Considering the changes in personnel, even the deniers, or as they see themselves, realists, in their hearts have to concede Wane has done a remarkable job. I don't see myself as a "Blind Faither" but we are second in the league, most points scored, second best on points conceded, a youth set up which is the envy of every other club and the big one to come.

Things aren't always rosy but there is still a lot to be optimistic about, in my opinion of course.

If you keep walking into lamp posts it is time to take off the glasses and realize that something is wrong. And clearly on the evidence of last night something is clearly wrong within the camp.We seemed to lack passion for the game. Now I know he brought back senior players who had not played for quite some time but I thought this is what training was meant for.I can hear people saying you cannot replicate what was on the training ground in a match.Granted but this is what we employ the best in the game for.To out think the opposition coach and his strategy clearly did not work because Bettsy and his players ripped up our game plan. Will we win silverware this season? Love to think we will but in all honesty the season is all over but for the chest thumping.

Doom n gloom  .... Look at the table we sit second (I know castleford still to play) and look at the teams around us ... All stitting in the same position as us but we have better Defence and attack. I know tables don't tell the whole truth but it tells us that other teams are playing just as poor. "Missed opportunities" that should be the tag line for this season even if we get to the grand final, which by the way I think we will. We have all been saying it for a few seasons now that finishing top is not the goal of many clubs, "let's do it the Leeds way" is how things have been conducted lately, and It shows in the attitude of games and coaches IMO phoney reactions and statements to losses. Nathan wants a trophy in fact he needs that shield to keep his job IMO and that's one of the reason saints have battled hard for it.

I will judge at the end of the season and play offs ...... Guess I'm a realist with a splash of optimism and a dash of conspiracist

Very disappointed with last night's result but I'm reserving judgement until after the next two games. Even if we don't win these we'll get a good idea if we're capable of raising our game when it matters. We had to play the undercooked players last night and they'll benefit from the match. At the start of the season most of us thought that we were a couple of years off winning the Grand Final again and nothing I've seen this year has changed my mind. My main worry is that if we can't win it/go close this year I wouldn't think that we could improve enough to win it next year with no further signings. Still hopeful but worried!

So SL is garbage and we are just as bad?

I think that is an accurate assessment if that is what you think.

Realist
Definitely can compare last season final league games to this years results and didnt think we would do the double, but this year we havent had many good performances all season.
Now is the time when we could do with an X factor player like Sam T and dependable kicker in Pat.
I would love to think we wil win the GF but at the moment cannot see us making the final week of the play offs

Realistically despite all the chest thumping from those idiots on SKY that synopsis is correct

No it wasn't at all. Last season we were very good/excellent until we took our foot off the gas and then peaked again when it mattered. It was fairly obvious that training etc was adapted to have this affect, it didn't matter about losing the odd game if it meant we were at our best when it mattered. This season we have been average or woeful in almost every game and look nothing like the same team.
