He's pro player and he will rightly be looking for the ground to swallow him up.

No excuse for the second punch at all which is the one that meant he had to go.

You can't play for 78 mins and expect to win and the fact we kept them to 14 shows they were there for the taking.

Until Flower through that punch. What a way to lose a final to Saints, hand it too them in plate.
DaveO, I agree with every word you've said.
Flower has let himself down, his team mates, his coach, his Club and, most importantly, the spectators.
I would get rid of him now.
Shame on him.
Relax Bri, the lad has made a monumental error especially the 2nd punch, however I will keep saying it, why is no one concerned with what Hohaia did initially, in any other game that should be a straight red, just because Flower retaliated doesn't forgive what Hohaia did!!

Flower will get a large ban and rightly so he also has let the team and the fans down. It is out of character he normally stays on the right side of aggression. Thing is the second punch is a thugs trick and quite frankly disgusting. IMO if you knock a man to the ground that's it fight over you've won to strike a clearly unconscious person no matter how deserved the first punch was is inexcusable.

Flower was assaulted off the ball with a double forearm smash and he retaliated. Surely, a double sending off :exc:

Of course not

Just as 5 minutes holding down a player in a professional foul after they make a break is not a sin binning.

Forget Flower, the bastards did us!

Never meant to win tonight :(

Yet Flower is not a thug :exc: If you are assaulted then you react often out of character.

Too simplistic you can go back further to flower throwing Hohia to the ground seconds before hohia elbowed him. The first punch was enough he made it too easy for the ref. one punch = 2 x yellows IMO but when you do something like that you make a victim and a victim rarely gets punished

I don't think the refereeing was that bad too be honest

He was abysmal!

Yardage was different for both teams. No sin binning for a professional foul. Saints repeatedly broke from scrums early never penalised. Play of the balls were pathetic for Saints, you can at least pretend to play the ball. Saint prop deliberately drops the ball several times trying to cheat for cheap penalties and Bentham knows it / sees it but oddly 2nd half he stop seeing what is obvious. It must have been a strong half time discussion!
