They have had a club in Perth and it failed!

I'd like to see the NRL split into 2 leagues, Sydney based clubs in one then all the other clubs in the other, add some new teams in Wollongong, Geelong, Darwin, Toowoomba, Ballarat , you could also have teams from Tasmania, the islands (samoa etc) if feasable, some clubs in NZ, Palmerston North, Wellington, Christchurch and bring back some clubs like Perth, Hunter Mariners, Adelaide Rams, North Sydney Bears, South Queensland Crushers. would make for an even better comp down under. btw it was just a thought while i waiting for the kettle to boil so need for the usual moaners to have a go :thum:

Would make sense, and the top 4 in each could meet up for the play-offs. Being such a big country, there is always the hassle/cost of away travel and this might help to bring attendances up.

Are the Eels poorly supported?

They weren't in previous decades and are not what some describe as metropolitan Sydney club such as the Tigers and Sharks. The Sharks have been a 'basket case' since the mid 70's IMO.

I remember these posts - don't try, you might fail!

If you fail once don't even think about learning from that and trying again!

Best to stick to what you know and don't go wandering off to foreign parts ... like Cumbria

:D

I was only pointing out to Stormfan that there had been a club in Perth and never said anything about not trying again.

So why the sarcasm?

Check out the Souths v Brisbane result.
Ouch - and we played a Brisbane side that wasn't really that bothered. Souths conversion rate worth a mention too.

Because he obviously knows that.

So the only point of your post was to remind him that expansion shouldn't be tried. By implication.
