I do agree that we really do need a change and I also realsie that for Wigan, anything below top just isnt good enough. I'm just trying to find positives to say in the midst of all the glooom. It is hard to part with money when the quality of rugby we're seeing isn't up to scratch, but hopefully we'll find that spark we really need, I relly don't want to say a bad word against Betts becasue I really like him and I know his heart's in it, but I think most people will agree that a change of coach would be a good solution to our problems in the short term. We haven't had an experienced coach of top quality for a while. Its just a shame that Betts couldn't be another West, although a reason for this could be that squad is too shallow.
I can agree with that because I think you've summed it up well. His heart is in it, he doesn't want anything but the best for Wigan and for some strange reason (due to the fact that we've seen no evidence yet!) he thinks he is the man to do it which is why I worry that he will get sacked rather than stand down or get his old job back. I don't want him to be treated like **** like others have been, but it needs to be sorted out. Tonight was again unacceptable, we had it, we lost it.

Ohhhhh I'm gutted. So gutted. :( First half was good, second half we fell to pieces. This scenario seems to becoming the norm for Wigan and it breaks my heart.

But saying that, I would not join in the booing at the end and some section of the south stand fans annoy me. Term "glory fan" comes to mind: one minute shouting "Dennis Betts' barmy army" next minute shouting "Ian Millward's barmy army" - ??!?! Pick one! You either support the coach or you don't.

I just don't like the way things are at the moment. Out of the top 6 now. We really need to get our arses into gear and start playing for 80 minutes, not 40. Just as an afterthought, some refereeing decisions were poor too.

Ok, even if we don't expect to be top, we expect to be able to compete, and we aren't doing. We do however, expect to win, especially at home, and especially against Hudds.

The who do you suggest. I agree he is not the most popular choice amongst us but he is the best. Unless we got Shaun Edwards or Chris Anderson then its got to be him.
Well from who is available I'd prefer Anderson to Edwards, it wouldn't upset me if Anderson was then sacked. If Edwards was to be sacked, I'd be more thna heart broken.

I know I feel the same, too many times this year. It's the same week in week out, Iactually thought at half time that even that score line wasn't safe and when they came out and scored straight away, my fears came to life :(

Betts must go now. The standard of rugby is atrocious and the players are running out of steam earlier by the week. What is the training like for god's sake? I was convinced he had lost the plot when he said he always knew we would beat UTC. Sorry, but that wasn't what I was thinking all through that match. I'm not convinced that the players are prepared to perform for him.

Most people around me are agreed that Millward should come in. I'm damn sure that he would tell Lindsay who was on his shopping list instead of being lumbered with garbage like Vaeleki. Yes, I don't particualrly like the bloke (not just because he was their coach) but give him 3 years in charge of Wigan and he'll sort us out and have us winning things which is what we all want isn't it. As a kid, Andy Gregory got up my nose when he played for Widnes and Warrington, but he was just the sort of player you idolised when playing for you. If we had a half back half as good as him now, we'd be so much better for it. Same with Millward, if he was winning with us, we'd accept him soon enough.

What were the tactics tonight? Let Carney have the ball and run with it and, er that was it basically. Even at 18-0 I wasn't enjoying it and looking forward to getting home.

We can't take any more!
