I am not Millward's number one fan either, but it has to be said that we needed to do something radical as we are going to lose touch with the playoff spaces at this rate.
As for giving up your season ticket, well, I expect to see you down at Tesco mourning Central Park as well. We can't live in the past and if we walked out on the club each time they made a decision we don't agree with (looking back to when Raper left abruptly) then there'd be nobody watching!!!!!!!!!!!

This burning the season ticket is a load of B******s. It started 2 weeks ago when The Man Utd supporters were supposedly burning theirs. They were actually burning the form for next season which you can get another one anyway. That is so childish.

Amazing how they sold all their tickets for the final yesterday. So if anyone does not want their season ticket then do me a favour so we all know your seiious post them to one of the people who run this site and if possible Mike please put them on here as we know who you are.

Simple isnt it we will know then your not full of S..t. Like the Man U fans were.

Evan if demean the club, which I for one think it doesn't, but thats besides the point. Even if it does, we still stick by Wigan. I cant believe people are missing the point that we support the club and not the signings we make and results. Even if I dislike something thats gone on or a signing we make, I will stand by them and stay behind the club because I am a Wiganer.
What is more demeaning having Milward as the coach or being 7th and on the worse run in a very long time.

No need to shout. People are entitled to their opinions - and you are entitled to disagree. I think its a bit much asking someone to go and supprt the Skints. I wouldn't wish that on my worst enemy..

why are people looking at this in emotional way should look at this a business like way because if you have an ailing company you find the best man who can turn it around and we have just signed him,the other thing is i don't really look at his record at what he did at saints because in a sense he inherited shaun mcrae's team not hanley's but i do look at his record with leigh where he turned a bunch of no hopers into title contenders,if you hate this man ok but to give up on wigan rugby league is ridiculous

I'm not that keen on Whelan or Lindsay (or Rathbone & Robinson, come to that) as people. Doesn't affect my loyalty to the club.

The one thing in Ian Millwards favour, is that he did not get the sack for being a bad coach. It is therefor acceptable for Wigan to appoint him as there Manager. Saints fans may not approve but who cares what they think. :)[/quote]

My thoughts on Millward have been well-voiced on here and I certainly won't be joining in any "Ian Millward's Barmy Army" type chants. He's an arrogant cheat in my book who has brought bad publicity to the sport on more than a couple of occasions. If he tries putting out weakened Wigan teams as he did for the Stains then I'll be writing to the board asking for a refund on my match ticket. I hope it won't come to that, but with Millie you never know.
I agree 100%. As I have said elsewhere I don't take much notice of what other coaches do with regard to what they say. I do take notice when a coach puts out a weakened side and so that aspect of Millwards past record it what concerns me.

However his appointment isn't enough to get me to stop supporting the team. I am not sure what is if anything!

If he tried it on here then I think I would be with Fraggle letting my feelings known but giving up my season ticket? No way.

I hope his time at Saints, the nature of his exit from the club and the RFL bringing in rules to prevent his type of gamesmanship have taught him a lesson.

Time will tell but in the mean time it is back to supporting the lads - and of course letting off steam on here when things don't go right and no doubt we will soon be debating Millwards team selections.

Strange day really. Wnac gives up just when he got what he wanted and now we have someone from the opposite camp doing the same!

Lets not generalise. This is one handful of fans, just as the ones turning their backs on Wigan are also just one handful. :D

I think you miss my point. What i am saying is that some of the MU fans protesting said they would never watch a game there and burnt the application form for a season ticket not the season ticket. This was just posturing as this is what is happening with lets be hoinest less than 5 people at the most on here. Bit of bravado.

Like i posted in another section on here id like to see them give their season tickets to Mike and he can put the on here, then we will see if they are just full of it or if they did carry out in not coming to more games.

Just like the handful at MU it seems people would rather be mediocre and let things carry on rather than shack things up and attempt to be the best again.
