Leuluai not heading to St Helens
It seems that rumours linking former Wigan Warriors Grand Final winner Thomas Leuluai with a move to St Helens won't materialise.
The New Zealand Warriors hooker/half-back, who returned to NRL action at the weekend following a knee injury, still has two more years to run on his current contract.
It has been indicated that he and his wife Natalie, who is English, are eager for a return to the country but there have been no talks between any parties at this stage.
Rumours have surfaced because Leuluai was expected to play in the halves this year alongside Shaun Johnson, but youngster Tui Lolohea has featured at stand-off with Isaac Luke at hooker.
However injury to Roger Tuivasa-Sheck this weekend means that Lolohea is expected to go back to full-back with Leuluai going into the halves, meaning the Warriors are extremely unlikely to let him leave.
Leuluai impressed when he came on during Saturday’s match where the Warriors put in their best performance of the season to defeat the Canterbury Bulldogs 24-20.

Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

Perish the thought but when they took over from Leuluai and Finch, Green and Smith together were a vast improvement for the team. I half remember we won the double I think?Firestarter wrote:He would be a good dynamic bench hooker IMO,but we need a more creative half like green
