Medlocke - I can see your reasoning but surely we can do better? I don't think that Joel can cover centre anymore (he's made it clear that he finds it difficult but perhaps after an operation he'll be able to cope). Isa is a far better backrower and wasn't successful at Widnes at centre. Bateman is good a centre but is wasted there and (if he's staying) has to be first choice in the backrow somewhere. I can't ever see Tuati covering centre effectively.

Are you intimating that another signing could be in the offing and that may be Eastmond?

Even if the RFU paid part of Eastmond's salary, the remainder would be a real chunk out of our SC.
Not that the RFU would pay part of his salary if he played Rugby League for Wigan.

That's pretty good business from Bath's point of view, then, as Eastmond looks well away from the England set-up these days.
