Fans will start thinking with their wallets if the club continue to dish out Greyball week in week out, by the sounds of things it's already started

As these fixtures always draw smaller crowds than the comparative League game, it wasn't as bad as some say. All the crowds tonight were lower by some margin than the regular season fixture - more of an indication of the public's attitude to this format, which is a flawed system, for a number of reasons, often pointed out on here.

Hopefully this competition will be reviewed by the powers that be and we have a more meaningful fixture format, preferably in time for next season. It's just not caught on with the fans and example at Leeds last week, never seen such a small attendance there for a Wigan game.
Spot on there but thats talking too much sense nezza. Your suppose say its because of shaun wane

Was thinking Eccy, that record has played itself out by now : :o

Agree about watching Hudd's they have been the same since the 1960's.Budgie was tackled in the air more than once.I think it's fitness more than confidence,he doesn't seem to be running freely.

Several of the players, Bateman, Gildart, Leuluai & several others have had a stomach bug
Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

Hudds employed cheap and grubby tactics all night.stamping on George in first half and tripping and then deliberately blocking Sam when he was running to the 20 metre line to take a quick tap.none of which was penalised by Bentham (surprise surprise). 2 points earned, move on.
Hudds try was a blatent pen for Wigan, Hudds player was in no way going for the ball. defp played the man.

Some questions and observations:

If IL (or"short arms") declared 2,000 more on the crowd, he would have at least £5000 extra VAT to pay.

We conceded 7 penalties to Hud's 13.

Budgie made 4 errors, which backs up comments about him. Nobody else made more than 2.

The level of interest any individual has in a particular match depends on a complex assortment of factors: e.g. mindset leading up to the game (consider how you feel the week of a Wigan v Saints derby compared to a Huddersfield match).
Crowd engagement/atmosphere is another. Rather than poor standard of play affecting the crowd, it can be the crowd who affect the players.

The link between the Oz match v Hull and this game escapes me.

The negativity on this site, if representative of fans as a whole (I don't believe it is), could be contributing more to the perceived failures of the club/team than anything Wane or Leneghan have done.

Just saying.

Don't know about other people but around us were we sit, nothing like what's posted on here is discussed or spoken about, not in so much negativity.

Perhaps some posters here just feel a very personal impact of the game on themselves, maybe based on old-time history and central park memories, etc, etc. The good, old days were always the best !
