Richards is apparantly a very good kicker, he's not first choice at tigers i dont think although dont quote me on that. Haven't seen Godwin kick.

Despite Logan's team not doing too well, he is a class player. It's impossible for one player to carry a whole team.

Apparantly we are going to make a double swoop for logan and calderwood following the boost of radlinski staying at the club. Whilst hooper is planning a return to the NRL after talks with Salford cooled.

I'll reserve judgement until they have proved themselves overseas in a Wigan jersey. Wigan appear to be handing out contracts that are difficult to turn down - especially to players who are on the wrong end of a pasting each week.
Are you ever happy, we recruit its wrong, we dont recruit its wrong...what exactly would you like us to do?
Wigan are doing their best to sign players who are making it in their current team. If you look at the stats of the players we've signed they arent exactly rubbish stats. Teams like brisbane are not likely to let their best players go, nor are their best players likely to want to leave when their club is doing so well. Millward isn't inexperienced he knows the kind of players he wants and is getting them slowly but surely. At least we're getting some experienced, overseas, younger players for next season, be thankful they arent all old past it aussies.
I couldn't agree more mrs c.
pat richards 23, first team every week in nrl, doesn't count on overseas quota.
palleassini 23, first team every week in nrl, doesn't count on overseas quota.
Some people are never satisfied, these have to be viewed as good signings.
there are no guarantees that any player will reproduce his best form for a new club, but that goes for any player going to any club, not just Wigan.
maybe doveoverdave could consult his crystal ball and tell Ian millward which players will have the best stats. in both nrl and sl by the end of next season so that he KNOWS!!!! who to sign in advance.
For some people, the club can do no right.
I'm beginning to wonder if doveoverdave is WNAC re-incarnated???

DoveOverDave can be a bit pesimistic sometimes, however I wouldn't compare him to the joyless prophet of doom that WNAC was.
In fact I don't think we will hear from him any time soon - Wigan GET a new coach and within a couple of games suffer back to back record losses - proving that it wasn't Dennis' fault and it was the state of team following a horrendous injury list and bad decisions by management.
And in fairness DoveOverDave was posting before WNAC blighted this site.
Anyway I'm feeling a bit more optimistic now and I definitely think that these signings are a leap in the right direction - young promising players and older more experienced campaigners from the NRL to add to several promising youngsters and several decent senior players already at the club, should stand us in good stead to get back to the top of the table where we belong - will be interesting to see who is deemed surplus to requirements though... :doz:

Selective editing mrs c.
My post was only stating the fact that the time to get excited about signings is once they have proven themselves - not to select an imaginary team with all the new guys in and state that we will take some beating next year!
The post was aimed at players being siged from teams who are struggling badly ie; Rabbitohas.
Wigan are doing their best to sign players who are making it in their current team
This is like Orr was "making it" in his previous team to such an extent that they got relegated.
be thankful they arent all old past it aussies.
We will see how the ex Bunnies goes next year.
We need to recruit and I am happy that we have started, I'm just reserving judgement that's all. Like I did with Moran and DV this year - these players excited you yet?
