Happy enough with this signing as long as others are brought in and dead wood is cut

I won't pre-judge Clark before I've seen him play for us, but I'd actually have a lot happier if his signing was instead of Clubb, rather than alongside Clubb.

The worry is we're clearing out the deadwood and replacing em with deadwood on longer contracts .

If Mitch Clarke is Gabe Hankins replacement then fair enough. But time and time again the club don’t replace like for like. They promote from within and promote the youth and sign somebody inbetween.
In the last few years we have done:
Tomkins, Bateman, Sutton out
Greenwood, Bullock in and basically promoted Isa to starting 13/17 more often.
