Graeme Norton might have told your mate it was only worth a one match ban Sutty but Paul O'Grady was adamant that he should get six and Richard and Judy haven't replied to my voicemail yet but Judy was muttering about sine die

i know i have only joined this thread late but i dont see anything different between this tackle and the one newton did on gilmore, he origionally got 3 matches for that tackle and he even pleaded guilty to that one. i would like to see a simular ban at least.
i may sound cynical now but i can garantee that if adrian morley had done the same thing the aussies and NZ coaches would be going mad and asking for a lengthy ban.

I think I posted it earlier but it's rumoured the RFL just used that tackle in order to give him a ten game ban for the other incident on Long so that he was less likely to appeal. When he did, admitting the Gilmour challenge was intended the punishment was upped.

Shocking he gets a one match ban and is free to play should NZ make the final!

deacons face concarded which made it life threatening as he couldnt breathe. He also fractured the roof of his mouth which required steel screws being fitted. Deacons career may well be over !!

theres no intent? all i can say he didnt miss this is one bad tackle he should of got 10 matches like newton.

He is starting to fall, but i still think the intent is there and its very similar to the tackles Newton got 3 matches for. Its ridiculous hes free to play in the final should NZ get there.

The whole thing stinks IMO but as I have posted elsewhere we are so terrified of anything occurring to jeopardise this tin pot tournament we constantly bend over and take it from both the Kiwis and the Aussies.
No doubt Rob or someone will come back with the "paranoid" jibe, but who wants to bet against Ganson crucifying us in the Aussie match at the weekend?

Regardless of where Deacon is positioned Vaganas posture looks bad, this is the first time I've seen any pictures of the incident since the night and he is obviously trying to hurt him (he would argue legitimately).
Hape has just pulled at Deacons waist which has caused him to lean in as Vagana hits him. I think the only way he's got off is that there is no proof to say whether it would have hit his face had Hape not been there. I think it may possible have hit him in the chest.
