Don’t particularly like the idea as we would struggle getting the ball out wide.

I think the most likely is Hampshire coming in.
I doubt it ,he isnt a great defender
Is Keighran? Most on here think he is most likely...

Keighran is an improved defender, put it that way. But I can't see Peet playing him at 9. I'd have thought the kind of option nathan is talking about would be the most likely.

If Clark is playing we need a tight middle - if he isn't you can take a bit more chance down the middle unit but i doubt we will know that until they take to the field

I dont know enough about the young hooker to know if he is ready but i would be tempted to name Hill at 9 and play an extra forward.

In attack i would let farrimond pick up the 9 duties using French in the line as an extra half back. In defence revert to Hill being where the 9 should be.

Plenty whispers that French has got a tight hamstring and may not play?

I hate to say it but what with the actual and potential disruption to the team maybe taking the 10 point start the bookies are offering on St Helens might be a shrewd wager. (Monetary compensation for the disappointment or Im always happy to pay to watch them lose, so either way! ;) )

If french is out, along with field, it would be a great statement to smash saints without both.Same rumours are circulating that field might be fit but i cant see it personally

if its true about French, you can see the play / tackle in the game last week v Leigh, when he sort of went down / pulled up and went to hold his hamstring / glute area. i think it was the play when the leigh player kicked through, and he just picked up the ball on his own line like he was picking something up off a table, then set about terrorising the Leigh defence. All being well, he got up to play the ball ok, but i must admit watching it again on TV i did notice he was holding his groin

I note that on the club’s official Twitter they have just put up their usual ‘GAMEDAY’ post with kick off time etc. and have gone with Bevan as the accompanying player image. Would they have done that if he wasn’t playing? Is it a smokescreen? Am I desperately clutching at straws?

Sadly, I think you may be clutching at straws.
