Great news. Credit to everyone at the club who have created an environment that all the players are committed to. It’s being done within a salary cap sport and must take some careful management.

Junior could become something very special, one thing that always strikes me with him as he is one of the few players who play their size, he's a monster and he uses it fully, he also is pretty skillful.
Its great news for the lad

Great news!
I accept the club is partly insuring itself against Junior (aka JNR

) going to the NRL, but that's good business from both points of view - if they want our players, they don't get em on the cheap.
I look forward to seeing the young man develop further - his rate of improvement this season has been absolutely phenomenal. If he can add even another 10% to 20% to that, he'll be due a statue next to "King Billy"!

He has many natural attributes which come from his size, but there is so much more. I have been amazed by his agility and balance (Elleryesque) - he often dances through, as well as powering through. His handling skills are already fabulous, and he is even developing a kicking game.
I expect that IMG/the game will realise that keeping players like Junior is essential if we are to survive/thrive over here, where we can afford to do so: especially in our case given that we are owned by a billionaire. I would be astonished if we don’t end up with far more marquee player spots in the next couple of years. There is no point having a salary cap so low the end product is unsellable.
Finally, and I really hope this does not cause any offence, but I think it is wonderful that his faith is so central to his life. I appreciate he is young, faith is deeply personal, and this is a controversial subject (and indeed it may be nonsense ultimately), but, as a church goer myself, I believe faith can be a force for good for people, in terms of their sense of the community in which they find themselves, and their wider values. We see and hear references to their faith far more in sports in other countries, and I think it’s not necessarily a bad thing.
