Why are the playoffs on separate days? Wigan or Leigh will have a day less to recover!
Same last season. My view is that the team that finishes at the top should play on Friday evening.

Originally the team who finished top played their game on Friday evening so they had the advantage of an extra day but I cannot remember when that changed.

There is also an argument from a different angle in that the human body is a creature of habit, therefore playing a game on Saturday at around the same time as the GF the following week could be of benefit as your body is in the 'habit' of playing on that day and time (albeit it is only one week of a Saturday afternoon as preparation) so will we be more accustomed to the a Saturday evening KO and the body more prepared for it

The famous 'muscle' memory that Sky are always plugging? I am just more worried about the week off as we seem to lose our way at the beginning of games after a week off.

Me too, a week off can have an opposite affect but hopefully the coaches and conditioning staff understand that and train accordingly

Daily cycle - yes. Weekly cycle - total cobblers!

Not cobblers at all, your body gets used to routines, whether it is daily or weekly, I would say monthly would be cobblers but weekly is not.

I doubt you can get into the "weekly habit" after 1 week though. So I'd say it makes no difference, unless a specific player needed 24 hours to go from failing to passing a fitness test.

Sorry, I wasn't suggesting that we would necessarily be in the 'habit' after just one week as such, more that it would be better than playing at random days and times as other teams are, there may be slight advantage of playing on the same day and roughly the same time as the previous week, rather than random

Yes I agree with you much sooner keep in the playing groove than have a week off honestly it wouldn’t have bothered me to have Wigan come third with that in mind but that’s just me
