Wow. That's 2 huge blows for Saints if true. Id already say they're a few players off competing this season as well.
One of the posters on RLFans says they have 18 players off contract in the next 12 months. 4 he'd keep, 5 def to let go, and assuming the rest he's on the fence about.

which ever way you look at it, its going to be some disruption to the player team / squad, so a period of transition, and if Wellens in charge, i can see it going disappointingly for Saints

Don't know about Lees but Matt Shaw reporting that we've signed Johnny Vaughan and Dayan Sambou from Saints for 2026. It's going down well with the Saints fans, as you can imagine.

St Helens have reportedly ‘conceded defeat’ in their attempts to keep Morgan Knowles at the club beyond this season, according to a fresh report in Australia.

Rumours today it’s Byrne to Warrington and Lees to us.

Surely not.

As of a month or so ago this all depended on an immediate player exit from Wire, which still hasn't happened as far as I'm aware.

Lees agreed to come to Wigan & Byrne has agreed to sign for Wire, as for anything being signed as of now I'm not so sure.

Whatever happened to the good old days where the two clubs hated each other and to sign a player from either club they had to go via another club first :D

I wondered that, but these players are out of contract so the club has no say.

Good point!

For me, Lees is a head scratcher, we are overborne with props (and about time!) with a number of promising lads working through the Academy/Reserves. Is Lees better? if not, can we improve him?
On paper, he is an England International so a decent signing I suppose?
