the competition is much more fierce than in the past You'd think after 11 years of Superleague people would have begun to realise that the glory years of the 80's and 90's aren't going to happen again because the sport has changed.
Just ask Warrington fans after the result today.

I have to agree with alot of Mr Tanks analysis of the game. I was expecteing an ultra professional performance and go over to frog land and beat a team that was made up of a lot of experienced french league players and a couple of NRL players and one class act Mr Stacey Jones. Tank has it right Danny Orr and Danny Tickle are poor players. The only thing that keeps me going is I am safe in the knowledge that Trent Barrett will be in the six shirt next year and Tickle will be out of the team when Fletcher and Hock are fit. Also I have to question Millwards decision to have Orr and Brown on the bench. I was also concerned at the fact that the French seemed physically stronger than us and I wonder how we will front up against the likes of Bradford? Oh and if i've miss spelt any words or missed any commas please forgive me.

Forgive me for having a memory that goes back more than 5 minutes, but wasn't Danny Tickle most people's player of last season, being about the only person who played consistently well throughout the year? Has he suddenly become rubbish over the last 3-4 months? It's the Farrell syndrome over again, one minute Man of Steel and the next "we should get rid, he costs too much, he's too old now, won't be the same player again after his injury etc".

He wasn't mine and I couldn't believe he won our player of the year award. Brett Dallas was probably my shout.

I would probably agree with The Black Pearl on Dallas. How many tries did he save last year alone? How many times did he put his body on the line last season?
Apart from his try against Huddersfield, and his last night, I think Brett has been a bit quiet during our first three games, and so has Calderwood, but I think that Tickle has done ok.

it was always going to be tough to play the french team first.i think 99% of wigan fans expected us to win but we didn't count on ashley clowns new rules! if a french player drops the ball its a penalty for wigans interference!a tackle is not complete when momentum is stopped so long as it leads to a french try! the word fix just jumped into my mind. but at least the french will get another good home crowd again next game!

This was a totally unpredictable response!! The same could be said about Radlinski and Brown who played at full back last season!! I think hes a brilliant player but this is getting a little too wierd!
