Its unfair to blame him for one mistake

He was going to go into touch and he made a pass out to try to save the ball if it had come off and got us a try no one would have been complaining

Sweet child of mine !!! The guy is 31 years old now, he's bound to loose a bit of pace but he certainly aint lost his will to win. Last season he rounded Hodgeson easily to score and everyone was praising him, he tried his best last night but he's lost a bit of gas. So what.....still wouldn't replace him with anyone. He's been one of our biggest stars for a long time and I will be sorry to see him retire.
In short....LAY OFF HIM !! The mans class.

I thought Ashton was great again. I had no concerns when Hodgson broke I KNEW Ashton had him for class and pace.
Dallas again for the second week had to run around the fullback. In both occasions they had 20 metres on him. I think Ashton is the quickest we have by far. He was hunying last night but the pass never came twice.

1: Mark Calderwood
2: Chris Ashton
3: pat richards
4: Brett Dallas

are you sure about that? i think off the mark dallas would be second but over distance ashton and calderwood would be before him. richards sint amazingly fast he just has a big step on him which carries him forwards.

I have posted this before

The quickest players on Wigan's books are as follows

1. Calderwood
2. Dallas
3. Ashton
4 A young guy who is now 15 yrs old (who runs 100 meters in 11 seconds dead).

Just shows how fast the first 3 guys are!

i disagree i think it goes like this:

1.ashton
2.calderwood
3.dallas
4.richards

in the current squad anyway. ashton i know for a fact is faster than calderwood, jsut because calderwood came second last year doesnt mean he is stillt hat quick. he is still very fast but has lost pace from his injury as has pat richards when he got injured for the tigers. dallas isnt the same but is still very fast and quick off the mark.

I have a feeling Dallas will be replaced by gareth Raynor next season
