HE ISNT A CENTRE. when will you get that into your head. where did he play for wests? wing. where did he play best for us? wing. suprise suprise. you are very quick to judge someone from one season when i have no doubts you have slagged the likes of orr off in the past. look what is happening to him of late now he has a good half back partener. give richards a good centre and watch him shine.
I hear what you say . But he was boughthim as a centre. Dallas and Calderwood are our first choice wingers. If Nobby says he is good enough to get in the side I will go along with that. I will also say that the wing may be his best position but there will not be a vacancy there untill next season. Right now in the dog fight at the bottom he has not got the guts and the bottle to be there mixing with this side
yes he was brought in as a centre but did we know how well he could play there? no. we had no idea how he would adapt to centre because he had never played there! and it's as simple as that. he is a winger by profession, NOT a centre. he was brought in to play centre, im hearing you, but what knowledge did we have that suggested he could play there. absolutely none.

"At last" YOU GOT IT the guy signed up on big bucks to play centre. The money was all that he desired. The fact he could not do the job was not in his mind set. He is STEELing MONEY

he came in to play centre, but he is hardly to blame considering he had never played there in his life! he didnt choose to play centre, he was asked to and said yes. he didnt know he wouldnt be up to the job and i feel sorry for him because he was out of position and criticised for it. i think you will also find that though he did play centre, he was still top try scorer. rather itneresting fact considering you seem to be regarding him as one of our worse players.

Lets get this cleared up; Pat Richards is a "WORLD CLASS" player. But he has not displayed those characteristics at Wigan. He does not put his body on the line for our club, He can not bend down and pick up the loose ball. He does not chase back when a scrambling defence is needed. He does not dive with the ball.None of these playing features are relevent to a position on the field. Its about commitment he does not show any at all.

lets just get this cleared up. he's been here a year. he has had poor servie when in the centres and on the wing. he was played out of position. he has been heavily criticised and ask any player, that isnt good for confidence. look back to his days at wests, great half backs in marshall and prince. was getting service for fun and was scoring loads. was also. he hasnt had that yet at wigan and when we have started to hit form he hasnt featured but i hardly think that the losses were his fault. give him some trent #B next season and some bailey and you will see the improvement.

He played centre before apparantly before he joined wests. Jamie Ainscough came over as a winger to play centre and he did far better than Richards. He aint world clas. What ive seen of him he isnt 1st team class. I could look good with Benji Marshall on the inside of me.

those that have read my post b4 will know i am also a wigan lover after my beloved bulls. but lets get real guys. none of the wigan team or my bulls deserve the man of steel. neither have been consistant all season nor done anything major enough 2 take the award. the only 2 teams in contention 4 me are a player from the whino's or the stains, oe even a coach as been suggested?
4 me its either, rob borrow { 1st],paul wellens,richard horne,jamie lyon,malc alc,danny maguire,kirk yeaman?

You can be a consistently good player, and still be playing in a bad team, though. Take Stacey Jones, for example.
