Kirkpatrick?

I honestly think Kirkpatrick is the worst referee in Super League,last night he was an absolute disgrace. He is so officious and serious,never breaks into a smile or seems to enjoy a game.He just gives the "IM IN CHARGE,YOU DO AS I SAY " impression.

The incident where Calderwood was deemed to have knocked the ball over the dead ball line got me. It was right in front of me and Calderwood was out when he touched the ball it should have been a twenty metre restart - the touch judge (blind get!) gave a drop out to KK. The Wigan players and fans were going beserk. Why do touch judges only get involved when they are wrong :conf:

"On report" doesn't need to identify individual players. Stacey Jones claimed that he had been taken out after the kick, he was certainly on his backside and the kick was straight into touch, but I don't think any of the officials saw exactly what happened. They have presumably decided something happened, and that they want the disciplinary committee to look at the incident, but no players were called forward, only the captains as always happens for on-report incidents. It's the same as when there's been a big fight, often the officials cannot see all of what has gone on and the committee are asked to judge what happened.

As for what really happened, I think everyone was watching Jones' rubbish kick so missed who hit him and where, or whether he was just milking the incident to cover for the bad kick.

Kirkpatrick is an idiot, it was like the game was being refereed by a 3 year old who had gone power-mad cos someone gave him a whistle.
